Can’t disagree with what he’s said but at the end of the day he keeps picking Werner and it’s obvious he’s been done for a long time. I like Ange but this feels like the last throes now. Werner has been woeful but he’s far from alone there

Yes, he essentially signed him twice and has picked him over others repeatedly.
Don’t trust Ange’s talent ID even for a second.

This is the biggest concern about Ange. His player ID is horrendous. The man thought Johnson, Maddison and Werner were good signings ffs.

Could try something different...Madders on the left, anything.

I think he is wedded to his system with wingers like Conte with wing backs or Jose with sitting everyone deep. Your right he should but equally the club should understand the manager they hire and properly recruit for them, that is mostly on us or should I say the board.

Funny he’s calling out Werner when he said this, what, a day ago?

"Cristian realises what he said ... A lot of what he said was good, some wasn't right and shouldn't have been done in public," Postecoglou told a news conference on Wednesday.

"We deal with these things in our own four walls. There's always issues we need to deal with. The same way I wouldn't criticise a player or anyone else, we shouldn't be doing that in a public sense

He hasn’t been sacked yet because he’s a likable guy who wants offensive football. But result wise he’s no better than Nuno

Yet Johnson, Son, bissouma, Madison etc get a free pass.

If Ange thinks Werner is the problem then he's more out of his depth than I thought.

He probably shouldn’t have said that but it’s a post match interview when he is still emotional. Sometimes I would rather the manager speak a day later about the game not straight after, they are human beings and competitive ones at that.

100%, it’s very good man management. Also turns the screws on the higher ups too. Showing he needs reinforcements, but not reducing value of an asset we own.
It’s terrible man management. Doesn’t matter if he’s ours or on loan. This is the start of players going against him
If he wants to punish a player, he should do it privately, not publicly

I was against Maddison all along, but I can still understand signing him to some extent. But not only Brennan, but also Werner in a system where you want to keep the ball and aim to be dangerous in all situations?

That’s just borderline insane.

Anyone can see they’re direct one trick ponies who needs space to run in to be effective, and he’s played three of them in the front line today effectively turning our front three into a black hole during possession.

All these people calling for him to be sacked yet I don't see one reasonable suggestion as his replacement... why? because realistic options are very limited.

Things are not going well for sure and if there was an obvious choice maybe it would be time to think about a change. But I do think a lot of what is going wrong is not down to Ange and would happen whoever the coach was. Some of the performances being put it from some of our players are atrocious, some because they are just bad players but others are just well out of form. We don't have the options to rotate, Spence would be the only player who I think should have been used more and he can only play League games anyway. Bergvall's recent showings suggest he could be used more but previous to this his cameos suggested he wasn't ready.

Performances are painful at the moment but I don't buy into the solution being blowing it all up and starting over yet AGAIN.

We're at a crossroads and neither scenario reflects well on Levy yet again. We either go all in on Ange and get top players because only top players can make this system work. If we do that it looks bad because it's what we should have done with Conte 2 years ago. A more decorated manager and weve lost 2 years and playing catch up. Or we hire a young manager who can work with our limitations and develop the youth. That also makes us look bad because it's another wrong manager choice for how we operate. Levy out and get someone else to make the decision because he clearly can't get it right.

Lets be honest, without the first 10 games of last season he’s been well out of his depth. Its a matter of when hes sacked, not if.
This absolutely it. All the issues we have are no different than last season. We aren’t improving m, we don’t have a plan b, I’m not certain we have a plan a most of the time.

I'm a bit split about picking out Werner. I'm more annoyed at Ange or the club, whoever had the most influence, in the fact that we even re-signed Werner for this season and didn't try to bring in actual quality.

Ange is annoyed but it's like, what the fuck did you expect. I for one am not surprised at all if Werner has a bad or shocking game.
We spent a bunch of cash in the summer on kids & Solanke. It was probably either Werner or no one because his wages were already accounted for and no loan fee or transfer fee knowing the bald man. Not sure who else is meant to be playing there, timo unfortunately, is meant to be like 5th or 6th choice.

Ange’s repeatedly said that all signings are approved by him.
Werner’s essentially a poor man’s Brennan, who’s a limited player that chucks in with goals at times. Werner barely even does that. Neither can control the ball to save their life in a system that requires it, and Ange still wanted them.

Ange’s and Lance’s squad building needs to be seriously questioned.
If Werner and Odobert were the alternative offered for say Eze or another top player who could play off the left. Then whoever came up with that plan and whoever signed off on that all need to walk and never be involved in football again.

It’s outrageous squad building you’d not see from teams battling relegation 10 years ago.

Sorry, you can’t contradict something you said only very recently and then single out 1 player among many that played poorly. You agreed to his re loan Ange and you keep picking him after everyone and their aunty knew what to expect from Werner. The pressure is getting to him it seems and imo it’s only a matter of time before he gets the sack.

And lets have it right, he's called out Werner?

What about Son, our captain, (who i love) but was shocking....

I mean if youre singling out players publicly at least name all guilty parties, not just the one on loan...

Bit sligh of Ange imo.
