Make Xabi Alonso an offer he can't refuse.

Any players he wants signed (as long as they earn less than £100K a week and have a release clause or they're in the final year of their contract).

If its true Alonso rejected Liverpool , no chance he takes us.
More chance, he will be RM coach next season, given the way its going for Carlo this season

I'd imagine a lot of fans would throw a fit but he's a very adaptable coach tactically and likes to bring younger players through.
That’s just conte/mourinho mark two. Ridiculous to even consider him.

which means he probably is the man.

but if the injuries get worse and results don’t improve I could see us being dragged down into the bottom 6 and potentially be in a bit of a scrap.

I don't see this happening. Yesterday was humbling but we'll pick up points against most teams, Ange showed that last season.

Personally, I would love for the board to really back him even if things do get worse before they get better. I don't just mean with signings, I mean actually make it clear through the media that he is our man.

Ryan Mason to solidify 11th place until the end of the season. Then we can start the rebuild.

They won't do that, kiss of death. If everything really goes tits up in the next few games they look even more stupid than normal if they choose to pull the plug.

Sancho spelling out their simple gameplan yesterday:
Speaking in the interview, Sancho was initially asked: “You have so much attacking talent and you know, Spurs look a little bit defensively frail at the moment – you always would have felt that there were goals in for you?”

He replied: “Definitely, they’re very aggressive and we knew we would catch them if we broke the lines and beat their press.

“The gaffer always told us in training to stay wide, especially the wingers to create the one-vs-ones, you know the overlaps for two-vs-ones.

It has been how we've conceded so many of our chances and goals, either this or people just breaking on us or crossing in behind our defensive line.

Need to look at those who are unemployed, we are a mess and I cannot see any PL manager leaving their current team for us or Levy paying the compensation and any decent manager in Europe managing a CL team is also unlikely to switch.

I'm going to add a caveat to everything I've been saying for what feels like forever now.

If Ange even now was to come to terms with the fact he needs to change our approach at certain times and admit there are faults in what he's asking the players to do, I'd happily give him time to try and address things. It's the fact he keeps saying this is it and we won't change that tells me he has to go.
But is he not actually making changes, it's just that doesn't go public and admit it

Always said there would be no change to defending set pieces, but there has been - even with the number of defensive changes imposed on him

Liverpool league game is largely irrelevant.

Its hard to ignore the next three fixtures having a huge bearing.

I don't think he's coming but I do think he gets a lot of unfair comparisons, to Conte especially given he succeeded him at Juventus. He's a lot more flexible tactically than Conte has ever been and he's more forward thinking than Mourinho, he's also (usually) not nearly as much of a hothead as either of them can be.

You’re probably right and for what’s it’s worth I don’t think it will either but I am a little worried about the possibility if injuries get worse.

Also last season we had 1 game a week and apart from tho those first 10 games he didn’t show us that much, imo. Which isn’t a dig as it was his first season and at the time those first 10 games gave us an idea of what is possible under Ange but looking back at those games now it just looks like a new manager bounce.

At this moment I would take Potter . The fact that he failed at Chelsea at a time when they were in turmoil should not count against him. Most coaches fail there.
‘I’d prefer Marco Silva , he has really maximized what he has at Fulham, outplayed us completely and fully deserved the point against set piece Stoke yesterday . However I don’t see him leaving Fulham pre season.
We are not inconsistent, we are consistently bad with an occasional good performance. One win in our last 7 and no wins in our last 4 home games says it all.
Ange has to go, he’s not competent to coach any EPL team . His so called system doesn’t work and he’s not going to change it.
