Not one dribble completed by Son, Werner or Johnson, Johnson and Son had 3 crosses each and didn’t complete a single one whilst there where 3 key passes amongst the three (2 by Werner and 1 by Son).

Pretty good evidence of why we desperately need to add someone of technical quality in attack this winter.

We have only been saying it for a year and a half now! 🙈

Yeah, because we were really dominant today weren't we.....

I find it's such a lazy argument when people say Arteta doesn't look to dominate games.

Just because he isn't throwing everyone forward kamikaze style, doesn't necessarily mean he's not looking to be attacking.
Whilst I agree Ange needs to slightly adapt there's a reason Arsenal struggled without Odeegard.

Arteta looks to control games and just relies on Odegaard and Saka to create and score from set pieces. Arteta is just a modern Mourinho

The responsibility for this shitshow today was above Ange's pay grade.

Davies, Dragusin and Forster is a big step down from Romero, VDV and Vicario. It's just a bridge too far.
And yet they were arguably our best players today.

Think we',ll rest up, recover and do well against Bournemourh and Chelsea, two teams who will take the game to us.

Solanke back, probably Romero.

A point at Bournemouth at least and we',ll do the chavs.

I think it’s nigh on impossible to predict how we’ll go at the minute.

So our players are dead on feet yet we wait until 68th to make 1 sub and then next one at 85th minute.
Would love a journalist to ask him why he waits so long for subs or maybe he thought he didn't deserve to win and wanted to teach the players a lesson again

Its not straightforward, but we seem to raise our levels for the more high profile games.

Chelsea under the lights next Sunday will have a totally different atmosphere.

They actually did well.

But, that is not a top 6 back line at all and any top team that needs to rely on a backline like that over the course of a season is not going to achieve objectives.

The really interesting thing with this season is , somethings got to give.

One way or another things will unravel.

Looked dead on our feet and lacking a focal point.

Need to get the squad back in some sort of shape. Too many players missing right now. 🙏

Fulham worked their nuts off and, despite their last result, haven't been mugs this season.

Because we had a tough game midweek for the likes of Gray. Cause we play Bournemouth on Thursday and Chelsea Sunday.

Can't just drop the youngsters in immediately.

Honestly Ange has a monumental job rotating and balancing the squad right now.

Give Bissouma a rest at the 6 and play Gray there. But what if he needs Gray at LB?

Rest Sarr? But then we don't have a midfielder who covers so much ground?

He rested Deki today and we struggled without him.

Rest Werner and Son? For who exactly?

Lankshear looked well off the level against Galatasaray.

Stop blaming the coach. Start pointing the finger in the right direction.

Romero has been catastrophe this season (and at times earlier too) and we didn't fail because of those three rather the shitshows Son and Maddison gave yet again

Fulham should have score at least three, in the first half alone. And probably a couple in the second Clear-cut, gilt-edged opportunities.

This game is on Ange today. Poor sub strategy.
Are you suggesting had he brought on different subs, we'd have won?

I'm sorry but I disagree, we may have, but we didn't and you can't in all fairness say we'd have won if he'd made the changes you'd have liked to have seen, that's hugely in we don't know territory not to mention we have no idea of who needed to come off because of minutes/numbers, who was carrying a knock and all the other usual stuff.

We aren't privy to most of those things so saying it's 'on' Ange, for this, with so may unknowns doesn't seem right or fair to me.

All over SC i've seen people understanding that the squad is bare bones, that players are being played more than we'd like yet for some reason, when results reflect that, we all throw that aside and blame all sorts of things.

Ange has got a bastard of a balancing act on here.

Exactly this, can’t judge Ange with a squad lacking balance, quality and depth.

I'm sorry but I thought they were good today and the least of our problems

It's such a shame that we have fans ready to come in here and attack Ange despite all the evidence sitting right in front of your faces.

We are probably going to suffer these next 2 months.

We need to be brave and insist that the only way Ange can have a chance of success is if he is allowed to build a squad of 18-20 players that can play exactly how he requires so that when we do hit these bad patches with injury, we have adequate rotation.

I fear that a poor run will have fans calling for his head. A new coach comes in (and sporting director) and we change direction again which means more player turnover and we come up against the same issues of lacking depth.

To be fair, most (obviously not all) posters subconsciously know this. The venting comes because Ange is the only one in management brave enough to stand in front of a microphone. The bravery needs to come from the Three Stooges above him...Johan, Danny, and The Invisible Munn. When are any of those 3 going to grow even a single testicle and stand up and declare what the plan is...will Ange be backed to the hilt or will Groundhog Day continue and we see another manager take the fall from incompetent upper management?

Yes Forster and central defence had to put extra shift due no show of players like Maddison and Son.
