You might want to make it clearer that you were talking across the season and not who is injured at this moment in time then as that is quite confusing. I was going by who was and wasn't involved v Ipswich which was our last game.

We do not currently have 9 players missing. We have had them missing at various points but several are now back and available.

Either way the point is we are in a better position to cope than City bar LB, because Pep decided to keep his squad relatively small despite his players moaning about lots of games.
I never claimed we had nine players currently injured. Think you’ve responded to the wrong poster.

Physio Room lists 9. Feel free to look.

Edit: Here's further evidence that we've had more injuries
Rodri (best player in the world) out for the season, KDB (one of the best players in the league) out for much of the season so far, Dias (one of the best centre halves in the league) currently unavailable. Foden and Walker both missed the start of the season.

We’re missing VDV from the starting 11 and a few rotation options (Richarlison, Odobert etc). No comparison.

plus I’d imagine when you win four PL titles in a row the manager has credit in the bank when times get tough.

what exactly is your point here as it’s making zero sense to me.

I believe that if we had shown more ambition this summer by making signings focused on immediate impact rather than just future potential, we’d likely be sitting around second place by now. We’re only 3 points behind Chelsea in third, with a superior goal difference.

If we had signed players like Neto, Eze, Gallagher, or their equivalents, I’m confident we would have taken more than just 1 point from matches against Leicester, Brighton, Palace, and Ipswich.

It's not that I think those players are world-class or that we don't have talented individuals, but I feel they could have made an immediate impact in a way that signings like Bergvall and Gray have struggled to do. Basically, I think we needed one or two more Solanke type signings. Players who were ready to make a difference right away.

It's true we shouldn’t be dropping so many points, but we took a specific direction in this window, and many of us were excited about it, eagerly talking about how we were looking forward to seeing these young players develop. Well, this is the reality of that. You sacrifice consistency by not sufficiently upgrading your first-team options and relying more on youth- which is why big clubs often wait until young players have properly established themselves at smallers clubs before signing them.

Absolutely. I think that's why a lot of us were so enthusiastic about Eze and Neto, because they are the exact type of signings we should be making if we're not in the market for a level above them. So when you fail to get those even (or any sort of equivalent) it makes you really wonder and question just where we stand as a club when it comes to bringing players in, and how much ambition we really have.

To be honest though I really don't and didn't at the time like the window and reliance on youth. I find there always has to be a balance between youth and players who can be expected to come in to make a difference, and that balance was far too in one direction. I get, accept and like even that it is a focus of ours, but IMO there's no way that we should be a club that has to rely on getting players before they (and in the hope that they) really blossom.

It's why the next couple of windows will say a lot about us as a club IMO. If we have a couple more similar windows then I'm really not sure how enthusiastic I'll be.

Football Insider reporting that Ange has fallen out with Vicario bentancur Udogie and Romero

Probably bollocks as its a shit source but also probably true because it's negative and Tottenham and anything bad that can happen always does.

Absolute nothing story written just for clicks and social media metrics.

Why on earth would 'senior Spurs sources' be telling a journalist that this month is pivotal for Ange?

The standard of journalism has fallen since the advent of online social media. I miss the days of someone getting info from 'a mate that works in the ticket office'.

Foden and Walker were rested no? City had the options to give them time off after the summer international tournament. They weren’t injured, it was just City being able to rest two of their best players because they’ve got an embarrassment of riches.

Ange Falls Out With Bowl of Porridge, according to insiders. Australians have always had a complicated relationship with porridge, and Sue, no relation, who works as a sous chef at the world famous Tottenham training ground and wants to remain anonymous, is not holding back: ‘He prefers muesli’, she said, off the record, and anonymously. The club has refused to comment and Ange wants to remain anonymous, according to his close friends. This may not bode well for his future, said Ray, a cleaner at the world famous Tottenham training ground, who wants to remain anonymous. It looks like Tottenham are in a crisis.

😂

Ange Postecoglou has fallen out with at least four of his breakfast cereals, sources have told Football Insider.

The Spurs boss, 59, is at the centre of a breakfast-based bust-up with his first-choice morning meals, believed to include the Italian granola contingent in his pantry.

His Cheerios and Weetabix – as well as imported Italian biscotti and premium muesli – are believed to have been among those deeply offended by Postecoglou's preference for vegemite on toast.

Sources say his straight talking about proper breakfast etiquette and his controversial stance that "milk goes in first" has had a negative reaction in the kitchen cabinet and has sewn discord at the heart of his morning routine's wild swings in consistency.

If there’s even an ounce of truth in it then it certainly explains a lot. Tbh IF ITS TRUE then I’m sick of players doing this especially ours. You’re paid well to play football and if you’re doing it badly, as ours are all to frequently then they deserve to be called out. Time for us to back a manager and get rid of those that won’t tow the line.

IF true. And it's a big IF currently.
Good!!
Each of them have done things this season that needed calling out.
If they've taken their ball home then they haven't got the mentality we need.
I stand with Ange

It's gonna be great seeing DL back on the new manager trail, pitching his vision for how the lowest wages to turnover ratio in PL history will fund a hotel.

Robert F Kennedy Jr. distanced himself anonymously from these comments and says the whale’s head in the cereal bowl was an oversight.

Just saying that the best footballing decision Levy has made here was in 2014, when he sided with the manager over a group of underperforming unhappy players.

It may or may not be true, I’ve no way of knowing. But I do know that this is how it always starts…drips of poison spreading discontent until a manager is sacked. I feel a dull sense of inevitability about what’s to come.

Yea there does tend to be a pattern but I would be more concerned about this being the start of the drip drip if it came from a half decent source.

Wayne Versey used to have contacts back in day but isn't Peter O'Rourke the only one In football insider who is any way reliable?

'tis possible that it's all just a little bit of history repeating...... In the words of good old Shirley.

So whilst this report is clearly a load of sweaty bollocks. The fan base ( small section of) and (some) reporting has already started turning the screw.

It's whether or not DL has developed a thicker skin to this sort of rubbish.

It tends to be a theme of this club that stories of player unrest are leaked to the press when the board is thinking of getting rid of a manager.

Not saying that’s what’s happening here, but it is a typical feature of Spurs.
