For anyone that thinks for a manager winning a cup is more important than league results , as evidence I present Exhibit A , Erik Ten Hag

Ange will try and win every game but he knows what is the most important.
Whilst true, if Ten Hag had achieved the same at Spurs I think he’d have been given a lot more leeway given our trophy drought.

A league cup alone won’t be enough for Ange to get another couple of years by default. But any other cup might.

But that's why you can't just have one set way of playing. When you know what Palace are doing, don't just play into their hands. Fine they want to disrupt the game and make it stop start. Ok then for 5-10 minutes just sit five yards deeper, keep the ball and draw them out. Then if they want to disrupt the game they are going to have to foul to do it. I keep saying it but this is where we have to be better in our game management. It can't just be camping in their half and it will all be ok.

I know we didn't do this against city and that was a clear plan imo. It's in game when things aren't working I feel we struggle to change. You can't always wait until half time or with 10 minutes to go.
Like we tried doing you mean until they pressured us, VDV gave the ball away and then they scored… ;)

I don’t agree - he isn’t picking the right combinations. He went back to the one holding and two attacking system today which was a mistake, but when he has picked Sarr to give us more running power he hasn’t picked Bentancur who is much more secure on the ball than Bissouma. For me Bentancur, Sarr and Kulu is the best balanced midfield we can play right now and he hasn’t give that combo a single minute
It’s like Ange reads my posts.

Or it’s a coincidence. It’s definitely one of the two

Feels like it has been a really pivotal week for project Ange. Massive performance’s. Really hope we can carry that form into away games and that injuries don’t derail us too much.

From where we were at half time that's the best performance / result of the season for me. Fair play, seems we are learning and growing.

💯 mate I think this week is where we’ve seen some real ‘growth’ as Ange loves to say.

There is something seriously special he is building here.

More ups and downs to come but absolutely ecstatic with how we play and approach games.

Squad still has a few holes and injuries starting to cost us but Ange said in summer he needed 3 more windows from then minimum to get us where we need to be but even still this season is very very exciting.

Very impressed considering that in my opinion we are really lacking in quality DM, creative CM and dribbling, maybe GK too. Plus Romero can't defend anymore and we also have no real depth at LB. To get the best out of his system we still need couple of good players. He is making tweaks and is more proactive with his subs. We need to sign some win-now players, we did well for future proofing.

Thought it was a huge call to take Son off just as his momentum was picking up after the assist. I assumed it was a pre-arranged one but maybe not with Son's reaction?

Thankfully it paid off. Goes to show we no longer have to rely on Son (and scoring without Kane now is no problem at all).

Sorry
Just came in here to look arounagain

Where them ange haters and doubters at?
Got called a happy clapper for arguing for patience last week but there's just no getting around the fact that this place is far more active when we lose than when we win. Barely a page after putting four past a CL team.
