Stop comparing this Ange period to Klopps Liverpool time. Klopp came into Liverpool job after establishing Mainz as Bundesliga club and then taking Dortmund from also rans to challenge Bayern over a period of 7 yrs.

Ange will have his own journey but stop making comparisons to Liverpool time. Ange is inheriting a top8 PL club after winning couple of times in SPL when only other competitor been weak.

Don’t do this to yourself. I am not going to say Ange out.. I am at peace with his limitations- I am not expecting much from his time. I know exactly what we are going to get from from him and till date that’s on point. We will be in top8 , be competitive and won’t make a sustained challenge . When he shows he can adapt his method , may be then I will start seeing situation as half glass full.

Not everyone going to be Klopp. Just because you claim Ange reign is going to be like Klopp , it’s not going to end up that way. Klopp came in to PL job with a higher credibility . That deserves its own faith, its own patience

Ange has not entered Spurs job at same level. Ange is like the level Klopp was at when he got the Dortmund job after Mainz stay.

I get it . You want to be half glass full - go for it. But don’t generalize your opinion to other Spurs fan talking about what they deserve & don’t deserve.

Ange has to learn fast if he wants to turn this. He has to show he can learn. Till date we are waiting to see that. Not all his fault - agreed. But we cannot be naive & then call it as some weird process.
Didn't say he will be.

Klopp wasn't a guarantee either.

The point is, you have to give it enough time to see.

Liverpool fans were patient.

We aren't.

I will generalise our fanbase because after every defeat or set back you get a rush of people in this thread all saying something along the lines of "It's not gonna work".

Twitter, talksport, sky, everywhere - always reacting the same. Unwilling to give any coach a good amount of time. Far too quick to abandon it and want the next one in.

We've just had a good run of form and performances but that's forgotten about because we lost control in on moment (something Liverpool did frequently under Klopp) and some are already sharpening the knives.

It's like a large percentage of this fanbase are only happy and comfortable when a coach is on his way out.

So you just told me not to generalise the fanbase and then you tell people what to do and what the outcome will be 🤣🤣

I read earlier this is our worst start in 16 years. Can’t go unnoticed not matter what stage of the process. Utd only a point worse off.

We really have such a fragile and insecure fan base. We care more about what other think or say about us.

I'm here for the process and will wait till the end of the season before saying anything about Ange. He has his ups and downs. I'll back him and support him fully. I don't care what pundits, media or other fans say about us, because I for one don't let any of that affect me and my feelings towards the project.

Patience is needed, and patience means suffering until the good times come.

I agree with you BUT he's one comment regarding making substitutions earlier is absolutely ridiculous and baffling.

The more I read it, the more i'm completely dumbfounded...

His press conference answer about why he didn't make a sub is very worrying. He has failed to see how culpable he was in the shit show in 2nd half. If he can't see something that basic then that's a massive red flag.
Blaming the players and taking none of it himself is conte esque level of poor management.
If we're questioning it then you know the players are too and how impressed do you think they will be with him not taking any responsibility.
Very worrying development

err ? where did I say this ?

All I said for others is 'dont do it to yourself'...thats not me being preachy. Everywhere else, I talked about how I view it. Even when I say 'we' , its a prediction of how I see it.

If you cant discern prediction from being preachy, sorry , I cant help you (y)

Trying to go 100 mph for a full 90 is naive in the Premier League.
But I would love us to try it for 70-75 and have a Plan B for the rest. And for a rest.

Come on Ange. You’re our man, for sure.
Please find a way to make our style of play more sustainable for 90+ minutes.
Yeah it’s how I felt vs United as well, they came back into it in the second half even with 10 men because we were knackered. We’re essentially starting the game as half way line high line, 5 in attack and constant press - this is pretty much impossible to do all game. So why not start the second half set up to counter attack, drop Kulusevski back or stop the fullbacks going into midfield for a bit.

The posts about giving Ange time and look at ‘Klopp’ etc are fine but that doesn’t mean he can’t do basic things that help us win in the short term. Brighton were there for taking today, it’s so disappointing.

But why wouldnt you try and replace some of the players who arent competitive.....

And gjve opportunities to some from the bench who could offer more competivness?

Thats what I dont get.

Exactly. He's basically implying making subs to change the game is receiving false rewards.

There's being stubborn but thats stupidity.

And I LOVE Ange and his philosophy but that is just odd.

Can we compare it to Arteta then, who’s done FA in management ahead of taking on a NL team in disarray?

Yeah, you can compare it to whoever you want, if the comparison is valid.
Arteta showed that he learnt and willing to adapt every single season. If Ange can actually show he is willing to learn and adapt , then am on board with Arteta comparison

You must be a new Spurs fan? I think most of us here have been patient for 2 or more decades, and been waiting for the good times that never came 😂

I don't like how he didn't think that we were starting to lose the midfield battle and make a tweak or a change.

That said the players are responsible. Complacent and overly confident resulted in an awful second half. They started slow and their reaction was to revert to backwards and sideways which was the complete opposite to the first half.

If I saw a process id be in.

There is none.

He's a fraud. That sums him up, nothing.

That second half is a disgrace. Totally unacceptable. There is no game management, what process, we are sooo open it's a joke. Every match this season we have been carved apart and there for the taking.

The aussie ossie.

Guy has won tin pot trophies and penionsable age. Got taken to the cleaners by a kid old enough to be his grand kid...

As poster above, will enjoy the wins and attacking football but we won't win much with him as other teams and managers know in game management and he's a flat track bully with nothing else.

I agree with your general sentiment but Liverpool fans are a special breed. They’re big into their managers to the point they have memes with dead ones talking to current ones from the heavens. We don’t want to be that weird.

The thing is there’s currently no one out there who I want to replace Ange bar Pep or maybe even Klopp. Just wished he’d be less stubborn.
