He alluded to it slightly but it’s worth reiterating that it’s so important that we get (and stay) behind him even if early results aren’t good, like they weren’t at Celtic.

With Nuno, I think everyone knew the football was dreary as fuck and would stay that way. Also we were getting battered every game even when we were winning initially, so it was the right decision to take early on. With Postecoglou, we all know he will try and play exciting football so he might need more time to turn these players around - players who have been inviting pressure on to them every game for the last 4 years even when we play teams in divisions below us!

Even if we’re 10th by Xmas, as long as I can see what we’re trying to do, then I’d be more than happy to give him time. He may even need a couple of seasons, it seems to have worked for them down the road.

We’ve had a handful of amazing games over the last 4 years but 80% of them have been so hard to watch. Can’t wait to enjoy watching us play again.
spot on mate great post.

30min of Ange

17:45 Ange on his teams style of play and what we can expect with Tottenham :)

Agressive
Take the game to the opposition
Try to dominate every game home and away
Try to win every game
Football that is enjoyable to watch and successful

He also said that he think his style of play seems to fit well with the history of the Club ;) *cough Jose,Nuno,Conte were a bad fit*

Music to our ears...

He feels like the exact manager we need, most of us craved for Nagelsmann ect but I don’t think there’s a better fit for us right now than Ange.
Genuinely wouldn’t want anyone else.

Loved the interview but for all things holy can we please stop mentioning Ange vs the previous 3 managers?

I know some of you are still emotionally damaged by it but it’s time to move on and focus solely on what Ange is bringing to the table, without the needless comparison.

He’s winning me around.

He has that intangible quality that all good leaders must have - gravitas / presence / aura

wasnt even in my top 3, but just maybe 🤔

His talks are brilliant. It has to be seen how he can set up a solid defense in the Premier League while playing on the front foot. That is the key challenge for me where he has to prove his quality.

Little gripe with these press conferences.. a few ask a similar question (re Kane for example) as if they hadn't heard what is said when it was first asked.

Yeah, you'd think they would come with about 10 or so questions with some being obvious and some aimed at getting something insightful.

Unfortunately, I think many of them turn up with questions that are aimed to get a headline, which means those questions already get asked. So then when it gets to their turn they try to ask the same question in a different way, which is completely unimaginative.

The quote I liked was about how he was attracted to the job because of the challenge and how he loves stuff like that.

Compare that to Jose and Conte who have already gone through that type of challenge, or not to the extent, so didn't;t have the patience or stomach for it.

This was pivotal in choosing the new coach.

Yeah - I also like an early question - might be the same/similar one - but something to the effect that he understood that the reason he turns up at a club is because the club is changing directions - players coming and going. I.e. he understands the challenge involved.

Some of you must be doing a complete 180 on your views if I compare the overwhelming positivity here to a lot of the misinformed negative nonsense I read in the 'next manager' thread a few weeks ago

Eh, people had their reservations and shared their views prior to him becoming manager.

Now that he's our manager, everyone is fully behind him.

Think that's pretty normal and fair.
