Great decision to start the younger players, the future looks bright.
Yup. Ange has played a blinder there. It wasn’t without risk, but he’s throw the team into a tricky away tie, with 4 teenagers and only two outfielders who you would say are first team.

To come away with three points is and a load of positives is sensational squad management.

It was a ballsy call, which I’m sure he’ll do again in some form - and he won’t get all of them right.

But tonight he got it spot on

Well done Ange and well done the lads for proving themselves capable tonight. I had worried it might a change or two too many considering it was away etc but nope. We looked less solid the more veterans that come on lol.

I could listen to Ange speak all day. He always hits the nail on the head with his answers. Always respectful and doesn’t skirt around any issue.

Very brave, but he has faith in them obviously
But also we have a squad to rotate now which is why Ange can do this and get results now.

Great squad management to give as many of the squad minutes as much as possible so when called upon in big games they can be as sharp and fit as possible which will give us the best chance of winning a trophy.

Also love that he gave Lankshear and Moore a chance.

Ange is getting a heck of a lot right recently. I hope he can get it spot on in the next one as well by pressing Brighton into error after error and getting the three points. He did a wonderful job yesterday resting some key players and blooding some youngsters who have shown him that they can be trusted to contribute. Brighton were fearless in putting Hinshelwood in their starting line up last season and look at him now, a very good Premier League footballer at the age of 19. Ange has the same choice with Moore over Werner. I trust him to make the right choice at the right time.

It was interesting hearing Ange's explanation for switching Gray and Davies in the second half. Some really good in-game management.

I am not the biggest fan of Ange for his lack of pragmatism in how we play in transition.

But , I have to give the credit for how he is using the squad. Finally, a manager who is mixing the players well and putting a XI thats competitive for the game across competition. He is balancing the squad well - not resting too many main players and not playing too many young players or deadwood.

It's all very jolly on here but if their goal had stood we would have wobbled I'm sure. I agree with giving all those young lads minutes but we started with too many, Lankshear or Moore, not both and either Gray or Bergvall. The ones not starting to come on later. We got lucky and we all seem to happy about it all. Mr Misery I know.

You say we got lucky and they missed some chances.... but we also missed some huge chances too. We cannot run our first 11 into the ground, we have key injuries which meant we had to play kids, no dragusin, udogie, (spence not in the squad), son, richie, odebert... didn't really leave us much choice as we have to rotate.

If we'd lost 2-1 Ange would have been criticised big time with that line up. But we didn't I know.

But you could say that about any scenario; if VDV started and picked up an injury he would be criticised, if Solanke started then looked tired against Brighton he would be criticised etc.

If Richy and Odobert were available then I imagine they would have started ahead of Lankshear and Moore. But they weren't.
