In a game where we had 27% possession I think that is fairly decent. We had serious troubles with our play today but I thought he was by far our best midfielder today.

Sky had it as 46% to us. Who gave us 27%?

We didn’t play badly. They played well. They’re the best side on the planet, but they couldn’t finish today and we defended with great intensity, finished with precision, found some mental strength and nicked a point.

It's the new rule though. If an attacking player touches the ball with his arm in an action leading up to a goal it will be disallowed. Intent or placement of the hands or arms are no longer taken into account. The same rule would have Llorentes goal against city disallowed if it had been in effect last season

I will tell you " it would have gone on its way to safety " if the ball had not struck the players hand there would not have been a goal scored as the ball was deflected into the city players path instead of going to safety.
All this bleating is getting on my nerves . They were brilliant but did not take their chances we were poor but resilient and two chances =two goals and we may be the only team to take points at the Etihad this season all this with several players not fit including Son and Ali and they had a fully fit squad I am loving hearing J.Redknap and G Neville waffling on about how wonderful City are and how woeful we are . Also the sight of Pep almost in tears was Wonderful .
