Yes you are correct of course. The thing for me is that it is just so irritating and predictable. He manages to shoe horn "negative" things about us into conversations and discussions even when these conversations had nothing to do with us.

Do what I do and don't listen then or you can listen and accept that he's trolling to get callers to call in, it's not meant to be taken seriously. :D

I hope I’m very wrong but I think we’re in for a baptism of fire tomorrow.
Due to our unsettled squad, injuries and suspensions I fear a comprehensive loss.
Eriksen needs to start.
We’d give them a great game full pelt but this fixture has come at a very wrong time.

Not sure I agree with the sentiment saying it's good to play the big sides early, it normally takes us a little while to hit our stride and when you couple in that Poch still seems to be experimenting with a new system it's going to be tough.

City are a settled, well drilled and frankly a ridiculously good side where we still seem to be trying to find a new system and integrate our new players whilst dealing with the ones that are supposedly unsettled.

It's not impossible but it will be a huge effort to get anything out of this one. If we play like we did first half against Villa for even half an hour it will be game over, very interested to see how Poch sets us up. I feel like I can't make a prediction until I see the XI/formation at the moment.

Never a good time to play Man City. Be brave (Poch's request) and positive and embrace where are in the footballing hierarchy

It will be 1-1 or something going in to the last 10mins, then we will lose 2-1 in the 87th min probably.

Aside from that, I'm sure we can make a statement against City, could be tomorrow, however I think it's more likely in the return fixture, where we'd have our best XI and the players will know how to play in the system properly.

I also think that'll be 1-1 going into the last ten minutes (Sterling after 5, Eriksen free kick after about 65) but then Lo Celso will come on and curl an 85th minute winner into the top corner.

But then I think we're going to win the league this year...I really think once the new boys settle in we'll batter teams. I'm looking forward to it. This game may have come a bit early but I'm feeling positive.

Poch surprises us.He goes for it sometimes against quality and goes for control sometimes with the weaker teams

Funnily enough I think the opposite. Tough match for us first week, easy one for them, everyone expecting them to win..... I can see us nicking one tomorrow. Assuming we don't do what we always do against man city and concede in the first 10 minutes!

As long as we're competitive, you can still lose and show people you're still title contenders for example - obviously hoping for a positive outcome but it's hard to predict.

Sane being out is very good news. Still think Pep leaving him out was one of the key reasons we beat them in CL last season. Big problem is that we’re also missing Son & Dele which means we’ll be on the back foot for large periods.

Hoping for a big statement from Ndombele as he’s going to have a busy day. If he can put in a similar performance to when he faced them in CL last year then we’ve got a chance but you have to feel that we need Jan, Toby & Eriksen focussed and ready to put in a shift

When you think of the quality we possess with Kane, Moura, Ndombele, Eriksen, Toby and Jan it’s ridiculous to think that We’ll get a battering tomorrow but the spurs inside me says that we will. The only comfort is that it at least it takes the scum off the top of the league, Liverpool it arsenal it’s up to you who you pick.

Midfield and defence needs to step up tomorrow. We’ve been too porous for too long. Got to make it hard for them and then use our breaks decisively.

Sucks to miss Alli for this but I think Son is going to be a big miss.

Hopefully Lucas can pull off some Son-esque heroics.
