Just hoping for an encouraging performance. City at home is the toughest fixture in the league an even more so at this early stage of the season with our injuries, suspensions, and new signings not fully available.

If we put in a competitive performance and show we can play with City regardless of result, I'll feel very good.

Or stupid Son for reacting like he did and deservedly getting sent off and suspended is what I assume you mean

No I don't. I think Son had been repeatedly elbowed and stomped on by this little sniping prick and when Son shoved him in the chest the little scrote dived and got him sent off.

So, no. Never a red card and shame on you for thinking so of our precious little Sonny Boy!

City are obviously quality. But we can hurt them. In the league game at their place just after the champions lge game we could've won that and were on top for a lot of the second half.

Honestly think if GLC is involved we'll have a much better chance. Even psychologically lining up in midfield against Ndombele and GLC is daunting. I know he's only recently joined and may need more fitness, but if his quality is what I believe it to be then he needs to be involved for as many minutes as possible tomorrow because I honestly think we can boss the middle of midfield.

My worry is when they get out wide, especially Sterling Vs KWP. Gonna need Sissoko to do some of his prime Kieran Trippier style covering duties and doubling up duties.

If you compare our fixture list this season with the comparable results last season (substituting promoted clubs 1-3 for relegated clubs 18-20), there are some random anomalies that will make it hard to gauge our progress.

  • Our first 10 fixtures this season produced 21 points (7-0-3) last season.
  • Our next 10 fixtures this season produced 30 points (10-0-0) last season - yes, 10 wins.
  • Our next 10 fixtures this season produced 6 points (2-0-8) last season.
  • Our final 8 fixtures this season produced 14 points (4-2-2) last season.
Comparing points based on number of games played is going to be highly deceptive during the central part of this season.
Last season was a freak season in many ways, particularlywhen taking in to consideration our League form for the final 12 games (11 points, AKA relegation form). I don't think we'll suffer nearly as badly with injuries and loss of form from key players this season. Even if we are to go on another mammoth CL run, we have strengthened the squad in terms of numbers, so will hopefully be able to deal with it.

I agree the seasons wont be comparable, however I'd much rather have this years run in than last years. There's something about playing the crunch fixtures at home towards the end of the season which I favour.

Come on mate, the Bournemouth bloke was a complete shit, but Sonny was daft to react the way he did.

I think Sissoko has to play so that he can pass instructions to Ndombele (who doesn't seem to speak a word of English).

I believe we have the ability to get something, we showed last season we can match them. Thought we were unfortunate to lose the league game especially. As of right now I won't be bothered if we lose, because it's still so early in the season it does not mean anything. We can bounce back immediately. If, like last season, it was in March/April then yes sure a defeat would mean a lot more. I am looking forward to seeing Lo Celso if he features and hopefully Jan is back in the fold. Aurier has been back in training, as well as Davies. Our squad is coming back together now.

Does anyone think that the opinions they give in these shit predictions are only there to try to sway the betting lines/odds as more punters follow their opinion giving them better odds?
Yes I do and that shower on talk sport with Jim Shite are the same.

Yep, blame is with Son for me, should know better than to shove someone in a PL game, just asking for it!

More fool people that bite to it then.
Yes you are correct of course. The thing for me is that it is just so irritating and predictable. He manages to shoe horn "negative" things about us into conversations and discussions even when these conversations had nothing to do with us.
