Evidence gets discarded because it was illegally obtained and/or due process wasn't followed all the time. This is far from just a CAS or football thing.

Again, IF the tweeter's info is good. I'm not convinced until I see the verdict.

Well yes but this isn't a criminal court and the case isn't one brought by a sovereign government. There's no bar against illegally obtained evidence in English civil law, for example.

Those evidence burdens are to prevent executive abuse of individual freedoms.

If they do get off it doesn't mean they didn't break the rules, just that the process in taking action against them was floored

UEFA have fucked it. By leaving even a sliver of doubt that CAS could aquit on they've blown up the whole concept of FFP.

I feel better about missing out on 5th place now, though. That’s something at least.
Leicester and Chelsea will be bricking it now.

And it means 8th no longer gives an EL place so we have to overhaul at least one of Leicester, Wolves and Sheffield United if we want Europe.

Nothing UEFA can do. They don't have any power to stop teams going to CAS, and the rules as they're written already brush right up against EU competition law.

Well if UEFA have written rules that go against competition law then they've guaranteed that a situation like this would arise eventually. Therefore they've fucked it.

Out of the three who can now qualify for 3rd and 4th - I hope its Chelsea that finish 5th, though after last nights drumming from Bournemouth I can see Leicester losing out tbh. So glad we're too shit to be anywhere near 5th tbh. it would be so Spursy lol
