Considering we no longer benefit, and football is completely fucked anyway, I’m guessing this will actually be kind of funny?

Be nice to see someone else’s hopes and dreams crushed for once, preferably Brendan Rodgers’.

Be lovely if CFC somehow miss out! Imagine all their shiny new players in Europa...

Aaaaaand FFP is now a joke and anyone can just spend their way to titles even more. Bad thing but also hilarious because it will just prove further which billionaires have an interest in winning(city, chelsea, newcastle soon, etc) and which billionaires do not(Spurs).

I think that there is too much pressure from the big, old money, clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and the Milan clubs, for UEFA not to stick to their guns and not punish city, but as usual with UEFA, they will water down the initial punishment.

1year ban with 1year suspended and probably a much bigger fine, payable in new, non sequential £20 bank notes.

But it's not Uefa making the ruling right, it's the Court of Arbitration for Sport? It really depends on the strength of the case Man City and Uefa are making against each other. If it appears that Uefa are punishing Man City uniquely when many other clubs have done the same thing without punishment, then they'll probably get off. Who knows though

People tend to blame UEFA automatically without knowing what's really going on.

Aren't City trying to get off on a technicality? The rumours are that they aren't denying the charges, but saying the evidence was obtained illegally.

That has supposedly been City's lawyers' main argument all along. It's bloody frustrating but if this is true and they get off you can't really argue that CAS haven't followed due process.

City appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) after Uefa's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) issued the ban in February.
The CFCB ruled the club had committed "serious breaches" of Uefa's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations between 2012 and 2016.
They were also fined 30m euros (£25m).
City immediately signalled their intention to appeal to Cas. They believe the CFCB was not independent and ended up being distrustful of it, partly due to the amount of secretive information the club felt was leaked to the media.

You just know these guys are going to get away with it, some sort of suspended sentence or something!

Only in football...
Evidence gets discarded because it was illegally obtained and/or due process wasn't followed all the time. This is far from just a CAS or football thing.

Again, IF the tweeter's info is good. I'm not convinced until I see the verdict.

9.30 tomorrow morning is when we find out apparently.
If it's true that City and UEFA know already, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it leaked into the morning papers, meaning we'd find out just before midnight
