I have taken cocaine.
this is probably a stretch but if the CAS upholds the charges, could other clubs who have been denied a CL spot, or the Prem Title for example sue Man City??
What makes you say that?bad choice of a comment(gif) at the moment, or to be fair a bad comment(gif) full stop
If all of their players have similarly drafted contracts, which you’d expect, and they have a ban then I think they will lose quite a few players. No way those in their late 20s will stay. The club have under achieved already in the CL, they won’t want to not be involved in it at all, especially if they’re losing out on this kind of cash.
not surprised, but still disappointed how many excuses you hear for their behaviour from football journalists and pundits.
blah, blah....yeah sure it seems the rules were broken....but oh david silva what a player blah blah...poor old pep...blah blah
They cheated. Full stop. All fully documented. If severe action isn't taken against them the game is dead.
on another note...why are people so gullible...."sponsorship" from Emirates airlines....I mean yeah right. The THFC equivalent would have been Spurs getting an eye watering shirt sponsorship, stadium and training ground naming rights deal from....ENIC. The ENIC stadium, ENIC on the shirts....and ENIC telling UEFA and the media at 100m per year...it's a sound business transaction, and oh no, no, no...got nothing to do with bending or breaking the rules to subsidise loss making and the biggest splurge on football transfers ever in football history.....outrageous accusation....pure anti-Spurs bias...
....poor old pep....blah blah....they scored some nice goals blah blah blah
You realise enic used to own 20% of autonomy? Just sayin.
Ok how did psg get round it when they spunked 200m on Neymar?
That's where it starts getting really messy. There are a whole load of clubs that have suffered from Man City's cheating if you consider domestic Cups and clubs that were denied places in the CL and Europa League as well. It has massive implications with huge amounts of money involved. I don't see how City can afford to resolve all of that, even with their resources and compensation would have to be paid by them, not Sheik Mansoor. City are also well in the shit if they lose CL money since they pay colossal wages. They'll find it difficult to offload players to compensate too. At the end of the day I suspect the authorities will conclude that City are box office and won't have the balls to throw their full weight at them, more's the pity.
From memory Neymar paid his own release clause in the money he got from Qatar as their World Cup ambassador. Now obviously this is the PSG owners paying him indirectly to join them, however no money changed hands between PSG and Barcelona, so it will be very difficult to look at this from a FFP perspective, and will be a harder deal to dissect than the City ones.
"Look, whatever league we are in, I will still be here. Even if they put us in League Two."
