Luke is a tidy player I felt that he became a little risk averse taking the simple option possibly to often but at that time he was being asked to play a more defensive role and that can happen with young players . Whether he has the physical attributes to be a top level midfielder I'm not sure but football ability wise he is a capable young man. I wonder if Mourinho might kind of like him in that he keeps the ball can receive it and make a pass though for me I would like Luke to show more range to his passing.

ps As a 16 year old he came into the youth side and looked like the great Colombian Valderama with his over large afro and his short give and go passing sadly Luke isn't that good but there are very few who are

What do you think BG? Has he got what it takes to have a future with us??

sorry for the late reply, meant to answer but got side-tracked and completely forgot.

here's a post i made on amos about three years ago:
i still like amos, aggressive and technically sound, just been unfortunate with injuries and being moved around all over the place. will probably fall short of spurs quality but should make it to a decent level.

i still feel pretty much the same way but do think jose might like him as he's tenacious, has a good engine and can also play a bit. i don't think he's massively dissimilar to mctominay who jose brought through at utd, he's not as tall as him but his game is comparable. i actually remember us playing against their u23s about three years ago and we dominated them with amos and a 16 year old skipp up against mctominay, i only really remember mctominay because his height made him stand out but we completely outplayed him/them that day.

amos has divided opinion amongst the youth watchers with some even going as far as saying he'll be lucky to make it in the conference but i've always maintained that he has the qualities to make it to a good level(i.e. the championship) and with a chance of going higher. i don't think that will be with us ultimately but he's worth persevering with for another 18 months i'd say and then see where he is, have to remember that he effectively lost a year of football last season so he's a bit behind where he would have been.

I have a list of seven players that I would like us to move on and Amos is on that list but not because he is a bad player.

The reasons I would let him move on are we have Skipp and Harvey White and the other reason is injuries.

Like you I have him down as a good Championship player and I would have said this before his knee injury.

My list of seven players I would like us to move on.

"t+i/90" stands for tackles and interceptions per 90 minutes i would guess. has been getting very good reviews from qpr fans lately since he's come back from injury.

Shame he got injured at the beginning of last season he could of played a part in the squad, but for me he should stay at qpr all season he needs it.

Not saying we should bring him back, but, do we have a recall clause to bring him back in Jan if we don't sign a dm?

With 2 unused youngsters
on the bench (Skipp,Tanganga)
and Winks and Sanchez too
and we only used 2 subs
I don't see much hope
for anyone recalled.

To be fair everyone would be moaning about Luke much the same way Winks is a scapegoat - much as I like Luke he isn't the answer to any of the problems we currently have

Potentially yeah. Good to see him thriving at Loftus Road.
