Tottenham fans have seen one of their former stars return this summer but are unlikely to be welcoming another back in the future.
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has claimed he is 'too old' to follow Gareth Bale's path from Spain to north London.

I think he'd be a very positive inclusion. He doesn't have to play every game or start them. If Real Madrid still find use for him we can too.

Though it probably won't happen, Luka on a short-term contract in January would instantly make our midfield that more fluid and cohesive. Plus his contract expires on June 2021. One can dream

Get Tommy Hudd and Crouchy back too while we're at it. I here Defoe's still kicking about north of the wall as well.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat but we're stuffed to the gills with non HG players as it is.

& I would agree with him, at 35 coming back to the Prem is a big ask & says a lot about where we are as club.

Modric is apparently back to his best at RM and the standout player. So no reason for him to leave

He would be perfect for our current side as he ticks over play so quickly and easily plus has the passing range we lack.

Would he slot into the Sissoko position? That is the only midfielder I'd drop.

I also think he's too old unless Jose just wants him in Jan to win the PL.
