Lucas Bergvall officially signs for the club today

Lucas Bergvall is officially a Tottenham Hotspur player after his contract with the club began on Monday (July 1) following his £8.5m transfer from Djurgarden.

Spurs signed the talented young Swede on his 18th birthday in February, seeing off competition from Barcelona, with the midfielder playing the first half of the Allsvenskan season for Djurgarden before taking a rest this month in order to be fresh and ready for his new challenge in the Premier League.

I'll be a bit shocked if Bergvall (or Gray) suit up for the U21s - they both have already been regularly playing against higher level competition - and specifically would need to work on the pace, size and strength of the PL - none of which they will find playing for the U21s.

I agree it's unlikely, both Phillips and Veliz got a prep game for U21's , as far as I remember they didn't do the pre season tour last year but Bergvall will this.
We have six pre season games lined up so the whole squad, new and old should get plenty of minutes.
