Now there's some good fucking ball movement. ?

I think there is a a good player in there. But he was basically leaving it, putting his hand up to say he's not offside and it hit is ankle and rolled in.

Hope it is the kick start he needs though.

It's an insane tournament but quite good fun to play teams like that.

Nail on the head. I think, despite the run to the champions league final, there was stagnation settling in. The windows we didn't buy a single player really killed us I think. Poch wanted something fresh, he knew things were turning stale within the squad. For me that is on Levy, our current slump is on him too. We lost momentum at that time and Poch felt it. Mourinho is still feeling that same stagnation. I'm glad we've brought in so many players. The squad needed an overhaul, but only because Poch wasn't backed when he should have been.

This problem for me rests with the unwillingness of the board to invest at times when the managers have desperately needed it to push on.

I hope now, Mourinho, with enough new faces can inject some enthusiasm and enjoyment into our game. That's the nig thing that's been missing, our players haven 't seemed to enjoy playing in such a long time.

Remember when we stuffed Chelsea at Wembley, Son scored a worldy. The team was buzzing that night. That's what we've lost and Im not convinced Mourinho is the man to bring that back.

But then who is? If a team cant play for one of the best managers in the world that has won things at every single club hes been to then who are gonna turn this team around?

I was never a fan of Jose before he joined spurs, but i wont lump it all on him. This is a huge chance for Spurs to get some silverwear with the squad we have.

Thing is, the type of crap we see is all from silly mistakes, and Jose knows that. He continually states it on the documentary. Players need to eradicate that from their game. Maybe Jose isnt helping them enough but ffs these are grown men earning 100k a week who at times struggle to kick a ball, struggle to make a challenge, struggle to pass to the right player and as in the case tonight, Sanchez having a lot of space to kick it over on the right as a clearence and manages to slice it to a corner which concedes a goal. Thats the players fucking things up.

The majority of goals we've conceded in the past 6 months have come from disgustingly poor mistakes.

Im hoping its just a fitness issue because of covid and other issues. We were playing fairly well in the last 8 games of the season after the restart barring Bournemouth and Sheff U.

Do you think he starts ahead of Kane, Bale, Son or Dele? Or do you think he’s not even good enough for a sub’s shirt?

He starts over Dele at the moment definitely and if Son continues to be in poor form he deserves a chance over him too.

Mate, I totally agree, it's on the players. I'm just a little pessimistic from such a poor run of form we'd put together this year, even with Jose there. I was hoping there would be a response by now.

I honestly don’t think the performance was quite as bad as many were saying. Son was piss poor and fucked up multiple gilt-edged chances, Bergwijn hit the bar and created a situation that was an absolute fucking stonewall penalty, etc.

Then maybe we wasnt watching the same game. We had chances yes, but that was in the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes, for 70 minutes we played really bad. Passes consistently going astray, the majority of first touches being unable to be controlled and losing the ball. Long balls/passes going nowhere.

The performance overall was terrible, zero effort from anyone until Ndombele and Lamela came on. Tanguy wanted the ball moved forward and Lamela was running about all over the place. Lamela put in more effort and had a bigger work ethic in the 20 minutes he was on than the entire rest of the team combined for 90.

The Plovdiv player getting the second yellow for digging a hole on the penalty spot with his studs might be the most Europa League sending off of all time.

Yeah same, somethings wrong inside their heads, got to be. You dont turn from being great footballs to dross like some of these have. Yet they do continually show their ability in small patches when they can be bothered.

The fitness of the players is a complete embarrassment.
So many key players missed preseason due to the pandemic. Kane and Ndombele we know what happened, but then there's also Lo Celso and Sanchez who were on holiday with the player based in Italy who was diagnosed, and then they went missing. Winks withdrew from England under mysterious circumstances. Doherty hadn't even begun preseason yet due to Wolves' EL run, and then immediately went off to international duty and had all of two training sessions prior to Everton. That's half the fucking team. The beginning of this season was always going to be very tricky.
