Good move for all, hope he smashes it and stays fit.

That'll just leave Reggie and GLC to shift, some clearing out to be fair.
It’s funny cause ur think Regi would suit Ange, but never got a look in. I actually forgot he was still on the books.

I guess the most important thing for him right now is to fully recover his form, fitness and confidence. He’ll be a guaranteed starter for a team in a physically demanding league with a high turnover of a games, playing for a good manager who plays a positive brand of football, dealing with the expectations and pressures of a promotion battle at a huge club. It feels like a pretty big step backwards to drop down a division but it could be exactly what he needs. If it all goes to plan he should tear up the Championship and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Gray, Summerville and Rutter who earned big moves to the PL. It’s a good shop window if nothing else.

Good move for him . With a team that is likely to be challenging for promotion again can see him doing well there
He'll also get lots of game time given the sales of Summerville, Rutter, Sinisteria (sic)

Leeds have properly cleared the decks for huge money (something like 125m net sales)

Looks like something is potentially happening with this deal or has gone wrong.

Leeds ITK early this morning said the deal was off (the reason why wasn’t said). The main rumours were medical failed/better offer elsewhere. Then the journo who originally broke the news about the deal happening said medical passed this morning and has now deleted the tweet 🤔

Yea I saw the tweet this morning saying medical done etc strange one, maybe a PL club has come in and offered some minutes to him.
Don't care where he ends up as long as he plays so we get a chance to sell him next summer

Obviously entirely believable that medical had issues. That said, when it's a loan where the whole availability of the player to the acquiring club is because they've just had a huge injury layoff you'd think it would affect the terms rather than the loan itself? Noones trying to pass him off as a match fit player!

Don’t think we gave him enough of a chance here tbh, although he is better on left and with Odobert now here makes sense to cash in if we can I guess.

I think it’s more that with that kind of injury he needs serious game time to recover properly, and he’s just not going to get that here. He might never get back to what he was before the injury too, so a loan to Leeds where he’ll play week in week out allows both parties to do what’s best for their own interests.

Does that indicate that something in the medical made Leeds want to renegotiate the deal?

Does seem a bit weird. My (limited!) understanding was that you don't get to the "doing the medical" stage until the financial side is agreed. Just speculating, but I wonder if they want the loan fee to be more appearance based as a result of the medical?
