Pretty clear it was a Levy special (cheap and could generate more money) and Ange went with it cause he had limited time and needed wingers.

We only ever signed him because he was free, which made all that noise from Shakhtar about some sort of fee (which would basically have been a gift because we were under no obligation to pay them anything for him) all the more absurd.

Please no more chairman signings, even the free ones turn out to be poor value
To be fair to Solomon - he did look good in the few moments he had last season.

Two knees injuries in two years - is a tough break, but not an indication of his potential value when signed.

i was confused b/c espn (US) coverage shows he came on at 53', i assume that's just bad database info? (this is not the first time, and more common with fringe players/numbers)

Sky Sports app & Spurs website was all over the place with line-ups when the subs started happening.
They both actually showed Austin coming on for Son!

Can't we just give him away on a free transfer? Think that would suit all involved as I'm sure teams are more likely to take a chance if they just pay his wages.

Paul O 'Keefe said we want to loan him as post injury he has lost his explosiveness and we can't offer him the game time and patience needed to see if he can get it back.

I think we should do the right thing and just give him back to Shaktar for free.
Would he go back? I thought the reason he left on a free was because of what's going on over there. I wonder of Fulham would take him for nothing off us though.

Seems the most obvious option. Win win. Wages gone. If he’s decent he has a chance with us , if not we can take a small fee from a championship team?? I’m sure he will be a great addition for any team trying to get in the premiership.
