It's too soon to decide anything on him. Until he recovers and trains with the sqaud it isn't fair on him and not prudent of us.

Some of the replies to him everytime he is mentioned piss me off no end.

He was clearly a punt and at a time when we want spare cash he is easy profit.

I think this cuts both ways though. I can see good reasons to stick with him and see what he can offer when healthy, or alternatively cut bait and move on from a player who has missed significant time in consecutive years with injuries (and cost us very little.)

Solomon was clearly an option because of his situation and the chance to take a 'freebie'.

This is not going to help us short term or long term.

I don't want to see us sign players this summer because of the fee.

The alternative should always be to promote youth.

I know the Solomon situation wasn't a case of Solomon or Donley (for example) but there's no upside to signing a cheap punt when we have a talent coming through.

You don't see the other bigger clubs doing this.

Now that we have supposedly sorted the academy out and have some talent coming through, there's literally no reason to sign Solomon types unless it's a player we've had high on our list or we really don't have any talent good enough coming through.

I hope Ange sees it that way too.

Donley is more central, I don’t think putting him out on the left would work

we also had Ivan, and sess

we have mikey Moore coming though he just needs time.

not sure why santi wasnt seen as the 4th option

left side has been a nightmare for injuries, Ivan, sess and Solo have pretty much been out all season.

either way leftside either bring in santi and Mikey (will only be 16-17) and sign a top Striker get rid of the left side bar son and sign one top player .

we also have Johnson and Timo (another injured player)

our front 3 needs a huge upgrade

I never feel comfortable lumping him in with the cheap punt type of signing we've had in the past. He has the type of profile Ange looks for a winger and has just been unfortunate with injuries. He wasn't a square peg in a round hole like Spence was.

There is another point about Solomon's future, who would actually pay money for him? He's spent a combined 368 days out injured over the last two seasons and is supposedly on 60k p/w. Even if you are buying him on a cut price deal the risk is immense.

There are some players we will definitely be able to sell at the right price. PEH, Tanganga, Biss, Regi, Rodon, GLC and Richy for example. In most of those cases the price needs to be a lot less than we paid for them.

There are others who we will only be able to get a permanent sale for if we are all but giving them away, but the most realistic move would be a loan with an option like Solomon, Gil and Sessegnon. They've played such little football no one is going to take a permanent punt on them unless there is very little financial risk.

I believe all those I've listed are available and we'd let them go.

He’s a decent player but there’s 2 major issues:

1) his injury record the last 2 years means he cannot be replied upon
2) although he can be a tricky player who can shoot, overall quality wise he’s no better than the other average forwards currently in our ranks

Johnson’s going nowhere, Son albeit regressing is our only wide forward with an actual end product, Kulusevski is either broken or simply doesn’t fit our style of play but has the attributes to be very good, Werner may or may not be signed on a permanent contract, Gil is like a fish out of water.

We’re not going to get rid of all of our wide forwards, meaning we’re going to be stuck with at least 2 inconsistent players e.g. Johnson and Kulusevski. To progress next season we must add both quality and a youngster with high potential, not more inconsistent players.

The future for Solomon at Spurs has to be bleak. Mid table player, not a top 4-6 player and to date, unreliable.

He had no transfer fee involved in his purchase so I could see someone take a shot, the question for me is more whether he'd accept the move. Say MLS comes calling for $8-10M? Would he go after seeing his countryman move?

Bis was Unbelievable in the first 10 games, then like most of the squad ever regained his form

Hard To know whether he will get back that level next season, so it’s hard to know if we should sell him

While I'm all for people supporting their support for their country/religion, he is also representing our club as well and as such these things are best left to others.

He's a young lad, but hopefully the club will have a quiet word.

As for his injury problems, we'll I'd give him another season, he has talent and has been unlucky this season. But it does show why you don't sign players with a history of injury troubles. Even if they are free.

This whole affair of signing him from a Ukranian club on a free, taking advantage of a situation and him posting his beliefs is looking a very poor from the club.

They need to show a little bit more class in general.
