Wouldn't surprise me if we keep Will at the club until summer. If we do, he counts as club-trained and would be able to freely go out on loan after that.
Seeing the position we're in now without any decent club-trained players, and how it affects us in Europe, I don't think it can be understated how important it is to set ourselves up well for the future in this regard.
But Will can get that extra half season in any time in the next two years.

Has just scored in the FA Cup against Exeter.

edit: actually it’s an assist. BBC had him as the scorer but have corrected it.

Class assist it was by the way, low early cross around the back of the defence when just entering the attacking third on the counter straight into the striker/left winger's path

Saw it on motd. A great ball in for the striker to pop away.

Oxford have signed another striker - Tom Bradshaw who played under the new manager at Millwall. Get Dane out of there, now!

Can’t remember if he played for us this season or not? If he has I think that means he can’t go anywhere else.

Inevitable I guess, they have a new striker so probably asked us to take him back.

Know it's been said he'll go out again. But with Ange not giving Lankshear anything, maybe they should swap?
Lank need his first loan, and Scarlett likely to have gained some experience.

I doubt the club was particularly happy with the loan anyway as he's really not got enough minutes. I wonder if West Brom might be interested what with Maja being out until the spring now.

I’m thinking that depends a little on whether we succeed in signing a striker. I’m sure Lankshear would be on loan already if that wasn’t what we were waiting for.
Not sure if Scarlett will be able to be in the Europa squad so I have a feeling that Lankshear is being lined up for a loan out on the last day of the window, meaning he covers for the remaining Europa fixtures, probably getting some sort of game time depending on availability/rest requirements of Solanke and Richarlison. Then he heads to play probably L1 for the rest of the season.

Dane will either head straight out or not at all as he won't be able to play for 3 sides this season.

I believe B list players can be added at any time. But good point about why we would not want to loan Will out until end January. Agree both will go out on loan if we bring someone in. If we don’t (God forbid) then personally I would sooner keep Dane than the Will.

this will be looked at as another failed loan where he didn't cut it but whilst there is an element of truth to that, it doesn't tell the whole story. just like his record of 4 in 20 again looks pretty underwhelming, if you look at his minutes played it's actually the equivalent of 4 in 8/9. oxford fans talk positively about him and believed he should have played more. he outperformed their main striker and was looking like he was going to be first choice only for them to sack their manager and he gets relegated to back up again. chances are he won't make it with us but he's been very unlucky on some of his loans, he's better than they suggest.

It feels to me if he’s ever going to get a first team chance at spurs it’s now, with games piling up and short of bodies up front.
