After about 9000 post guaranteeing that Lloris was gonna leave this summer - I hope the people telling other members they were idiots for thinking Lloris will stay will own up.

Here's your thread.

Can he play centre forward? It would give Harry a rest to get between the sticks for a few halfs this season.

I would've gone if I was him!

Very grateful for his loyalty but he's fundamentally giving us a chance to push on and waiting to see if we can break into that top bracket - which we can't, and he probably knows that, especially after this transfer window. He will be off soon but he'll always have my respect. He was always my absolute dream GK to come to Spurs but I always thought he was far too good for us. I just hope he doesn't end up at United.

Glad that he is still with us for the time being but I don't like goal keepers as Captains as they have limited influence on field of play. My opinion. (I don't like strikers being captains either)

It is certainly a great testament to Daniel Levy and the recruiting staff in acquiring the services of such a player.

Yeah if De Gea had gone earlier in the window it seems fairly clear there could have been movement there. Next summer now feels nailed on

Remember when people were saying that the club made his wrist injury up and were likening it to when Bale departed. :)

Who is he going to move to? Still don't see Levy selling to United, or any other English club. I also think they may want the Ajax keeper.

Cillessen is Van Gaal's preferred choice, but I don't think he has all that much clout as far as who they buy or sell.

I was worried he might leave

Especially after Poch's comments in addition to the media speculation that he would go to Utd after De Gea went to Real

The longer it took for De Gea to leave the more confidence I had he would be going no where this window

Although I stupidly believed for some time that Bale wouldn't be going to Real during the window he left

So really nothing would have surprised me and I was just hoping he would stay - thankfully he has and I think he is vital to our ability to have a strong season
