Tottenham's summer transfer plans will be impacted if they do not qualify for next season's Champions League, Daniel Levy has admitted.

Well, you put the team on downward spiral by refusing to see importance of back up striker on summer and especially on january with Kane injured early in the month. No striker, no CL, no CL, worse squad next season, worse squad next season, again no CL - feel satisfied how january was handled?

Yes. The question is can we stop this downward spiral before we end up in League Two?

God help us. Even when we were in the CL and playing in the final, we still spent absolutely nothing for 2 windows in a row!! Now we are being led to believe that we will be spending even less without CL football. Levy can’t have it both ways. Time to go!!

Like being in the Champions League made any fucking difference

Indeed, what a joke. CL regulars and we spend all summer trying to absolutely steal a then unproven championship player from a bankrupted club desperate to get something from their most valuable asset

Its not poch or Jose who need sacking really, its Levy from the football side of things

Let's invest the way that Dortmund do , they have never spent more than £28 million on any player in their history, very sensible, there are players out there at reasonable prices just got to find them..

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I kind of feel like that. Is the scouting network as good as it could be? Genuine question rather than a rhetorical one.

F**k Dortmund. Look at Sheffield United and Wolves. How much have they spent on their squads? Very little I suggest and look at how much success they have had. This proves that it’s not just about how much you spend but how you manage what you’ve got. That’s my only worry about Mourinho (not true I have more than one worry) that he likes to spend big. I can’t believe Levy would appoint him (and why Mourinho would accept) knowing that funds would be limited this summer. I’m not a Mourinho fan but am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until he has had a preseason and a summer transfer window behind him... and a fully fit squad. We have some liabilities and some unknowns (NDombele) but I still think that we have a talented squad. Is it good enough? I don’t know I just hope that he can mould it, with a few additions into a top four team playing good football. We have to give him time but not too much!

I think the most disappointing thing is that we were so close to something and for whatever reason, the club did not build on the very good squad we had in any meaningful fashion! Now we could easily be in a downward spiral. To not sign a back up striker and then to play the only striker we have in every minute, in every match?! You don't need hindsight to know that is a completely farcical way to run a professional football team!

What he means is we aren’t gonna but anyone either way as the squad is strong enough innit and everyone knows you only need one person per position!

He said this at a Trust meeting recent, but he should reflect on the fact that we're probably going to miss out on CL because he didn't invest in the squad at the right time for two TW's.

You don't get better by standing still.
