I'll be surprised of we spend "big" on more than 1 player this summer - even with some high profile outs. Maybe 2 - if Romero leaves.

I get the impression that the club strategy is to build slowly, and methodically, rather than quickly. The core of the squad right now - is about 1-2 years away from being near their best. I think the strategy will be to stick with that plan, and every year add 2-3 high profile younger players and 1, maybe 2, experienced players. So, that, in the future, with proper development, there will be a yearly wave of young players reaching their peak - and that will be a sustainable run at a high level.
I tend to agree but we’ve now got a tangible yardstick of which to compare the board/Levy’s vision to what transpires on the pitch.

Competing for league titles and Champions League success flies directly in the face of having an abnormally low wage:turnover ratio for instance so let’s see if we witness a reversal of this trend or not.

I'm sure it's be mentioned as I'm a few pages behind, but while I loved the sentiment, some of it was a bit, I don't know, creepy???

Like (tin hat time) they've had someone scan the issues supporters are talking about on social media (here) and dropped them into 'soundbites'.

I don't know, maybe I'm a bit too cynical

Levy having said he wants us to win the League and CL has put an even bigger target because if he doesn't deliver the goods for Frank to succeed the fans will become even more toxic than they are now.
He didn't say in what year, so he can't be held to anything, unlike Ange. In his mind he was probably thinking "in 2035"

What an absolute pile of shit that video is. It’ll be added to the list of broken promises from every time he tries to reinvent himself. He has shown us who he is for over a quarter of a century through his actions. His words mean nothing. How long before he’s releasing a statement about having to let VV and TF go but he’s excited about their replacements. As usual, the person who needs to be replaced is still taking in the big bucks.

Levy - “We want to win the Premier League and Champions League”

Ange “Can I sign Neto and Gallagher?”

Levy - “No, I expect you to do this with Bergvall and Odobert on a fraction of the transfer fee and wages, whilst getting the best out of Ben Davies and Timo Werner”.

With Levy completing this interview and openly stating that his ambition is to win the PL and CL, he is subsequently placing himself in a position where future transfers and decisions will be under serious scrutiny, measured against whether they help to fulfil the goal of PL and/or CL silverware. He is essentially giving the fans another stick to beat him with.

Words are words Daniel. Now is the time for action.

The more I think about it, the more self indulgent it seems "I know you've got a thick skin Daniel, but when the mean boys say horrible things it still hurts doesn't it?!?!?!" 🤮🤮🤮

Hopefully the next video has some detail on how we will win the league and maybe even when. 🌈🌈🌈

The only thing that video has done is lower my expectations and potential respect for VV. Terrible fucking move. Levy just can’t resist throwing himself into the limelight when the heat is off.

When we had a legitimate chance of winning the PL the guy did bugger all. I’m sorry but if you fall for that load of horseshit Levy is spouting then more fool you.
Vinai comes across well but a little worrying how pally they seem. Levy needs someone pressuring him, not suggesting he’s such a brave man sticking in his highly paid role.
Talk is cheap. Pay higher wages and spend more money and maybe I’ll sense a change of ambition at Tottenham.

Well, I found that a refreshing. Hopefully it indicates a shift from the club to improve transparency and engagement. I've always thought the lack of communication & fan engagement was a big mistake by Levy & the club.

I found it enjoyable to watch, but at the end of the day it means nothing to me if like some others have said, these words aren't backed up with the appropriate action. You can't win the Premier League and Champions League with the level of players we continuously bring in. We'll have to see if anything has changed in that regard come the close of the window.

All i heard on that video was blah blah blah. Until he starts backing it up by getting the players that will push us on, its all just waffle to me. Over to you Levy, prove me and so many others wrong.

Yeah it just comes across as saying the right things to shut the fans up for another 1-2 years so they keep pumping money in. Some of the stuff Levy said just came across as blatant lies.

Nah, he would just say he believes you can League Titles and the Champions League without 'breaking the bank' and he wants to do it the hard way.
