You're right. After not backing Ange properly last summer, as he does with every manager, he's back to sacking more managers and paying out more compo. How many managers since sacking poch, who he also failed to back?
But the next patsy is in place, who he'll more then likely fail to back and then inevitably sack too. Excuse me for not feeling so optimistic about Levy's leadership
Why do you bother.

Prof cryptic re Levy/new ownership:

Polite Warning: If you don't like cryptic nonsense, do not read the rest of this post.

The first of all I need.
The third of a Benjamin Blackadder (ft Lackland) 1973 hit.
BUT
The end of a chorus sung by the daughter of the director of TFA.
The third, fourth and fifth of the first chorus of Mr Broad's revolutionary scream
I assume this was solved?

1. I'm the next act waiting in the wings (First line of "All I need by Radiohead)
2. Oh, and I can see Daniel wavin' goodbye (3rd line of Ben Blackadder ("Elton") ft Lackland (King "John") Daniel

BUT

3. 'Til our fingers decompose, keep my hands in yours - (Gracie Abrams - daughter of JJ Abrams - sang song with Noah Kahn)
4. More, More, More (Mr. Braod - real name of Billy Idol, Rebel yell)

Sounds like he has conflicting information, some sources say Levy is leaving, other sources say Levy is staying.

By all accounts a lot of the experienced players had had enough of him. I thought that the end had come the game after we got beat 7-2 by Bayern . Away to Brighton expecting a reaction we were stuffed 3-0 and looked as if they had chucked in the towel. He went soon after.
Even Bill Nick got sacked.
If Liverpool can sack Dalglish after winning the League Cup ??
Actually Bill Nick left of his own accord.

Personally I think Mopo is to loyal.

He needed a fresh coach to be brought in for a different voice and he needed to learn when to move players on that had served him well

There was nothing wrong with any of those signings on the face of it. All three were good players.

Lo Celso arrived right at the end of the window (as is typical with our chairman)
Sessegnon arrived injured
Ndombele started well under Poch and went downhill under subsequent managers.

You judge all of these players after we flipped to a manager with a completely different philosophy to Pochettino and are surprised when things don’t work out?

imagine being a chairman that sacks a manager who has achieved 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th (with CL final) despite having only the 6th biggest wage budget and 12th biggest transfer budget in the league?

Pochs tenure was extraordinary. Sacking him based on all the achievements is harsh, still there is more to take into account going back:

You can not underestimate the energy levels after such a long time at a club. Managers are still humans with next to no time off. I was talking to Freiburgs current manager recently and he pointed that out. And he just finished one season at the club with less pressure than at Spurs and mentioned how much respect he has now for managers staying at a club for a long time. If managers leave after 2 to 4 years they can recharge. It was easier to handle this in the 90s or early 00s. The game wasn't as far developped and there were less games, and also more time for managers to recharge.

It felt Poch was done. There was a final fire in the Champions League run and then he was probably mentally and physically not able anymore to push everything to 110 %. And that is completely fine, as its human nature.

Also back then admitting a painful rebuild would have lost Kane two years earlier and maybe even Sonny. How to tell the squad back then we need a painful rebuild an not push on after reaching the CL final? Looking back you can say it would have saved us some time and we failed get it over the line with Mourinho and Conte. But tbf to the club, I can see what they were aiming for. Some call our club out for lacking ambition. That was the opposite.

And re Lo Celso arriving right at the end: He had enough pre seasons with us to finally step up and adapt and better suited players have made impact regardless of coming late or early, best example is Rafa Van der Vaart. Obviously getting business done early is great, thats not how it always works as some deals are complicated and a brutal game of Poker. Not saying we played it always right.

I think we can say being a Spurs manager is just bloody hard. Big expectations and limited support. I do hope with Vinai, Lange, Paratici we now have more of a structure in place to support a manager. I am surprised Pochettino didn’t go grey then lose all his hair with us.

I’d take it on for £5m + a year!

I had the pleasure tonight of hosting a dinner with current and former CEO's from across industries. One of whom was heavily involved in the initial funding of the new stadium build - and when I say involved, the one directly leading negotiations on the financing with a certain Mr Levy.

He just confirmed what we all know - on this particular deal (£25mn initial investment with significant follow ons), there were back and forth negotiations on all parts of the deal as standard. This individual then went to meet Levy to finalise the deal with only a couple of points to iron out. They came to agreement on those final aspects, at which point Levy turned around and said that as he had conceded some ground on those points, they needed to go back over all the over details as the deal had fundamentally changed. It then took another three months of back and forth to finalise the deal. This guy had said he had never seen anything like it in his years in business (he was a multiple time CEO, and this business was £30bn+ revenue).

I asked what he was actually like in person - his response - 'there is a saying which ends in Tuesday.' He explicitly said that he would never deal with him again.

The deal got done and this guy was then invited to Levy's box for the first game at the new stadium with Joe Lewis and......Michael McIntyre.

TBF, in business there really aren’t many Mr Nice Guy’s. I’m no major Levy fan. But to accomplish, infrastructure wise and financially with Spurs, putting not much money of their own into the club (which he always said was the plan) is pretty amazing. Footballing wise of course he could take much more positive risks, but we all know that simply won’t happen while he is in place.

I think it was basically the fee for buying it and the whole share issue, I think it’s around £120m, so like I said very little.
Sorry I just reread my post, I meant to say *not much money of their own* Apologies.

Daniel Levy remains largely unaccountable to the fan base.

We roll onto another Manager and the process starts again.

I think pressure should be exerted to force him into being honest about what has repeatedly gone wrong.

I think the Levy out chants will more than likely carry on now after sacking Ange. We just need to be sure to get behind Frank and the team and bring a positive energy into the ground and the protests outside.

When Change for Tottenham tried to protest at the palace game they got hammered for the timing, when they march they get mocked, whenever anyone has tried to protest against him they have been derided. And now people are surprised that he is acting as he always has.

Change for Tottenham will carry on trying and many of those bemoaning the appointment of Frank won’t help and Levy will continue to remain unaccountable because he is a billionaire, we are not as in a fanbase of thousands everyone has a different view so it will never effectively act against this unaccountable investment company.

Change for Tottenham just wants to bring negativity and that's it.
They tried to prostest at the palace game including reasons of poor form, being close to relegation, tactical inconsistency, dropped points from winning postions, confusion on the pitch, mismanagement of injuries and were moaning about lack of accountability.

Exaclty one month later, they were moaning about Ange sacked.
