Sir Alex and Woodward pictured in a 'heated' discussion several times during yesterday's match. Who's willing to bet that OGS is done by December? Or even before?

Unless they are in danger of going down, I think they'll hold out until the summer, didn't they already say there won't be an big signings in January? That can't fill OGS full of confidence.

Weird Lukaku info coming from a well-respected Belgian journalist that was quoted on Guardian's Football Weekly podcast.

Apparently his medical at Inter uncovered a digestive issue, that has led to him being put on a special diet and as a result losing loads of weight and looking an elite striker again.

And United's medical staff never picked up on that, even when he was looking really large and unfit. That should not happen at any top club, especially not one with their resources.

I wonder what he was like at Everton and Chelsea then. I thought he looked about the same all the time.

Elite?? Again??
He looks pretty elite now, his partnership with Lautaro looks really good and he's banging in goals.

I'd say he was at least close to elite at Everton and for the first few months at United before it went south.

It's not uncommon for Italian club medical departments to pick up things no-one else has spotted.

This is the classic problems clubs face.

A successful team with a long term manager leaves/retires. The fans know the next manager has a tough job and vow to give him time.

But fans talk about giving time but have little idea how to exercise it. The next manager gets bad results and he gets fired.

So they hire again and vow to give the next manager time. Problem is he does worse. As they don’t want to appear fickle they don’t fire him despite many believing he isn’t the right man for the job.

If Utd analysed the situation correctly they would likely see OGS is not the right manager. But they will give the wrong man time.

They have (had) 2 major problems.

1. They are changing styles with every manager.
2. Their board is fucking awful.

Absolutely, I believe Utd’s and Arsenal’s problems are more at board level than the manager.

But they shouldn’t stick by the wrong manager believing time will resolve their issues.

They are hanging on to OGS so that they can claim they gave him time. That's all.

Didn't AC Milan "fix" a few players recurring injury problems by doing something with their teeth?
