I reckon if there were fans were still allowed in games, they’d definitely go down. Their fans would be right on their backs in all the home games. Really nasty atmosphere etc. While fans at the likes of Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth would likely give their teams a boost.

Also the new subs rules will favour them as they have a better squad than their rivals.

I'm a bit surprised that some of you are relived that West Ham are probably facing relegation. "One less team to worry about". I don't get that logic tbf. If we are gonna be a top team, then we need to beat everyone, regardless. Just an honest opinion though :)
Thing is that it's easier to beat a lower level team when there is no further incentive for the opposition. West Ham do up their game against us. I could do without it.

Because we're not a top team and sometimes you need all the help you can get.

Other teams get placed in 'lucky' situations and circumstance so why can't we?

Daft scenario but I'd bet the West Ham fans would swap last season's win against us for even a point last
night.

For me it's more the 'derby' factor. When we were chasing Leicester a few years back it was West Ham that scuppered our run. They were massively up for it and actively wanted to piss on our parade. If we'd been playing some random mid table club like Swansea or Brighton they wouldn't have had anywhere near as much incentive to beat us. Even top clubs like Man City and Liverpool often come unstuck in derby matches when there's that unpredictable, emotional element to it.

In this sense, we have it tougher than any other team in the league as we have 6 proper derby games (as you said Watford, Palace, Fulham, etc don't have the emotional element) and no other team has more than 4. We're at a genuine disadvantage because of it.

The most annoying thing of all is that, much like with Chelsea, this is a fairly modern rivalry manufactured by their fans due their natural rivals no longer being relevant. It might be nice for them to drop down to the Championship and have a scrap with their old pals Milwall.

i think they might get something against Chelsea. from now till then, chelsea has 2 more competitive matches so no more "excuses" that they didn't have enough recovery time.

but knowing Moyes... they will say Chelsea has more match fitness... lol!

Sorry if mentioned but West Ham confirmed today that Jeremy Ngika will be leaving the club at end of season. We’ve been linked to him. Anyone have some views on this kid?

Very good player, Strong fast and he does remind me of Tanganga in that he will also throw his body in the way of shots.

He is very raw and still has a lot to do but you can see the potential he has.

Possibly the worst YT highlights video I've ever seen.

On that evidence, he looks a very limited player.

If only Bournemouth or Villa could win a game West Ham would really be in big trouble. Villa vs Wolves and Bournemouth vs Newcastle this week, so while West Ham will probably get beaten by Chelsea it's difficult to see either winning. Bournemouth then have Man Utd and Villa have Liverpool, both away. West Ham do play Villa on the final day though. Might be the decider.

Pre match build up the other day to our game suggested that he wanted to go to Watford.

Because they're West Ham. Not only is that reason enough to see them go down but it will also allow us to mock their moronic fans for at least a year.

The “i think we can finish top 4 and above spurs” clip immediately springs to mind thinking about how moronic they are

They say that at the beginning of every season. I literally have no idea what they base their optimism on.

Our worst season in fucking years and we'll still finish 20+ points ahead of them.
