The fans seem to think they're prime for a take over like City, I don't see it myself, why would someone buy a club that doesn't own their own stadium, seems risky

Absolutely no doubt about the delusion of Liverpool fans, but I suspect that is largely fuelled by their history. With West Ham they have literally nothing to base this deluded confidence on, it's bourne out of a promising start to a season which creates new levels of ridicule.

I'll borrow this from another thread:

From Rawk (obviously)
Big prediction
« on: November 4, 2015, 01:59:39 AM »
I would like to announce a big prediction - if at the end of the season it does not come true, I will donate £50 to RAWK or a charity of this thread's unanimous choosing.

Prediction: Liverpool will win the Premier League this year.

Secondary prediction (not part of bet but which I think will happen): Steven Gerrard will return to Liverpool at some point this year.

If we win the league this year, I will go sponsor a less fortunate kid and provide for him.

I'll give 100 to Rawk if we win the league no issue

Think we have a chance as wel

Apparently Apprentice fans are boycotting the show after Brady voted for tax credit cuts. I wonder if WhU fans will do the same?

Payet out for 3 months. Nasty blow for them.

They ain't getting Europe without him (not that I thought they would with him). Probably will see them back down to 8/9th in the table now.

Softens our blow of losing Lamela for that match. We are due a win against them at the Lane too.

Great. That's my best player in my auction side:(

But he's also by far their best player so :).

Payet out is very good news - presuming it's not all smoke and mirrors. Need to keep an eye on Lanzini still.

Not owning the stadium has helped them out greatly. They used to have a sweetheart deal on the lease when they first moved in. A brand-spanking new, decent modern stadium for fucking pennies.

They'll really miss Payet the next few months. How they ended up with a player as good as he is, is baffling.
