He wouldn't been able to get Harry Maguire's filbert that's for sure.

He'd give it a go

It's funny how everyone called the Wilshere transfer to West Ham before it actually happened, such a West Ham signing, now he's been released I genuinely don't know who will sign him now, maybe someone like Besiktas.

Wilshere’s EPL days are over and in the current climate no Championship team can get close to his (probable) wage demands. Turkey is a good shout but not sure he’s got the maturity to handle the culture change. He’s probably more open to MLS or Eredivisie.

There was a half decent discussion about West Ham on Talksport this morning (I know I know, but working from home can get really boring so I need to listen to something!). Essentially a very frustrated Hammers fan had a long moan about the owners not spending and Simon Jordan’s fairly considered response was, “What are you on about?”. Turns out they’ve spent a decent amount over the past few years but it’s mostly been on terrible players who have flopped (eg Anderson, Haller).

Long may it continue.

And, when they paid him off, they agreed to pay him 85% of what he was due for the final year.

Or, in other words, they gave him £10m to jump out of a tumble dryer and have now given him £4m not to do it again.

It's been precisely ten minutes and I'm still laughing at this.

Plenty of people on here do that as well, ignoring the existence of signings because they turned out to not be great. We hadn't had a backup striker for many years before signing Vinicius apparently...

Around 70-90k for those players.

Mark Noble is on 60k. Long serving player and captain. :hilarious:
We should have put in a bid for Mark Noble, just for shits and giggles; just to see what the response would have been!

West Ham United were so desperate to sign Chelsea's England defender Fikayo Tomori, 22, on loan that they offered to pay the Blues £50,000 every time he did not play for the Hammers - but the deal still collapsed. (Talksport)
