Groundhog Day for me with this lot at around this time every year.

Got a few good mates who are West Ham. Without fail the final few weeks of July, I get ‘top 6 is on/top 4 is realistic/going to finish above Tottenham’ etc etc

Last year was the best one when we didn’t spend a penny, they spent loads, and we were out of sight of them by about October.

Even if we add nobody else, we’ll be twenty points above them at least come May

I agree, one signing doesn’t change the spine of the side... Haller did look decent in the Bundesliga but his scoring record has gone down as he has moved through weaker leagues to more challenging ones.

Defending can be pretty shocking in the Bundesliga at times, and even big clubs get turned over.

Unless Wet Spam address the other weak spots in their team, Haller might get such bad service that he gets 10-12 goals tops.

I think Haller has shone playing in a 2-striker formation. I don't know if they will play two up top or try him as lone striker.

Haller could be fantastic, but the simple point is he still has Noble, Snodgrass and Ogbonna behind him.
And Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals, bit daft your post really ;)

Talking of Snodgrass, I was on the same Virgin Atlantic flight as him a few months back. He had been on his stag do apparently, and was sat in Upper Class. I was in premium economy next to his mate, Blackburn’s Charlie Mulgrew. He had swapped his seat with one of the non footballers in the group who had broken his leg in a prank. 😂

Word is that Snodgrass is very happy at Wet Spam, which sounds to me like a player who is punching above his weight. Like a fat kid dating a model, he won’t do better than the Spam!

Anderson when he fancies it... Lanzini if he isn’t injured... Fornals if it works out in the Premier League... I won’t worry just yet.

No he won't, nothing wrong with that. He's a handy player to have when you're mid table. Hardworker, decent deadballs.

How does anyone take them seriously they win nothing and threaten nobody but celebrate the odd win against us.
A very small time club who think that offering seat's for dirt cheap in a big stadium make's them a big club, you could put Southend in there and they would not be any bigger.
ahem, people in glass houses and all that......
