Having not played for exactly three months, Jack Wilshere made his triumphant return against Newcastle on Saturday with a five minute appearance as a substitute. He registered an assist in that time and, consequently, West Ham fans were divided.

Should Pellegrini start Jack Wilshere against Cardiff?

Or should he ease Jack in with a slightly longer appearance off the bench?

What statement would Pellegrini make?

Err, this one...

:hilarious:
I'm starting to think an actual wheelchair would be a more useful squad player than Jack Wheelchair

I reckon Brady/Gold/Sullivan are somewhere between Donald Trump and Sol Campbell in terms of their level of delusion and complete lack of awareness of how cringey they come across

The funniest bit of the clip for me was when he asked if Brady was in today and the response was “no, she’s filming the apprentice”. It was like we were meant to be impressed. I wouldn’t if I were their fans, she’s paid to be the chief exec at their club and run it day to day. Yet she’s not even there but doing a tv programme. And they wonder why people take the piss and why they’re shit! 😂

Interest got the better of me and I decided to watch it. Couple of random thoughts

First and foremost, the fundamental problem with it is that they're trying to establish themselves as a proper women's team, and the WSL is trying to establish itself as a viable professional league and show that women can do what men can etc. etc. but all of that is completely undermined by the fact that you've then got this random kid who's the son of the chairman just dropped in there for no good reason to run everything. You can't on the one hand claim to be taking women's football seriously while at the same time letting some teenager be in charge of it as his play thing. Either you're a professional club and you're run professionally, or you're not. You can't have it both ways. I'm actually shocked that Brady i.e. the self-proclaimed leading example to women everywhere, allowed them to make such a mockery of the whole thing. Yet again shows she's all mouth.

On top of that, as most people I think probably suspected, it seems like while he claimed to be in charge, it was actually that blonde woman who did everything and he just swanned around the office acting like a big-shot. Says it all that the players were baffled by what he actually does all day and says it even more that the woman didn't even make it to the start of the season before resigning to "explore other opportunities" i.e. she didn't sign up to have to do all the work but then have to run everything past some fucking clueless dickhead teenager as if he was her boss. He's absolutely fucked now that she's left because obviously he doesn't have the first idea how to run a tuck shop let alone a fucking football club. Will get found out very very quickly IMO

Guy I know was a tax accountant at West Ham and had various meetings with her. Said she didn't want her salary listed in the year-end accounts, so took it upon herself to include every player's wage (even though disclosure of theirs is not mandatory) just so their millions would hide visibility of her own.
