So where are they gonna play after that if the stadium gets demolished? They've fucked themselves.if they wanted that land. They should have waited another 6 or 7 years to move and paid to build a new football specific stadium on the land there.

They could always groundshare with Millwall?

Have to say I think the stewards at the London Stadium did a pretty good job keeping that bunch of fat, bald, middle aged tossers apart. They are part time and no doubt on or near minimum wage and the video posted by Riggi shows them (with some back up from Londons finest) standing firm under a lot of physical and verbal pressure. Well done to them.

My mates son is a season ticket holder and gained 7 pound coins thrown by Chavs!
ps he hates the stadium and wont be renewing next year.

Why dine the FA force them to change the name of the club as punishment. But keep the colours as punishment too. Something more genteel.

He really must hate it as with the whip round from the Chavs he basically has enough for a free 5 year season ticket now!.

BBC reporting that the mayor has asked for an inquiry into the stadium financing, following breaking news that the cost of the retractable seating will be £8m PER YEAR, increasing the overall stadium cost by £50m, and it'll be paid by...the taxpayer.

This stadium and every decision regarding it has been a complete clusterfuck since day 1.

Edit: and here's the story

So retractable seating £8M a year

Rent £2M a year

Just going to have to take the retractable seating away and leave them even further from the pitch.

Agreed. No need to fund these seats unless West Ham fork out for them.

Hope coe, borris, the porn barons, newhams mayor and the tranny get nicked for this.

New Mayor Liverpool supporting Sadiq Khan is starting an investigation into the whole funding issues.
That donation to the Tory party by WHU (the club) not individuals should also be factored in.

All this talk about knocking it down and re-building it for football.....isn't it also meant to be an athletics stadium for years to come? If West Ham were happy with that when they signed the deal then they can put up with it for the next 99 years. No way should the stadium be rebuilt for their use.
