You only get airlifted to hospital for two reasons basically if you boil it down - life threatening injury or limb threatening injury. Eyewitness accounts say a broken femur in two places - which suggests compound fractures as they wouldn't be obvious otherwise. Thankfully he's talking and conscious now so it's unlikely there are serious head injuries. Whether a 34 year old will come back from this is debatable. I wish him all the best, he's my type of player

He's had an op to his lower leg- if that's the only injury he go out of that lucky. I know any injury is awful, by looking at that car the fact he got out of it at all is fortunate. Wishing him a speedy recovery
