It sounds like they want Tuchel to replace Ten Hag.

Annoyingly, I think he will sort them out just like he did when he came mid-season at Chelsea.

I’m relaxed about that. He’s a track record of falling foul of big squads full of big players. The wheels will invariably come off within 18 months.

I think he would be just as bad a managerial appointment as Ten Hag to be honest.

The kind of appointment they need to stop making.

He is 1,000 times better than ten Hag, that guy is clueless. But agree he’s not the right appointment.

He would certainly improve them but he’s had no longevity anywhere he’s been, so don’t think it would fit into Ineos’ ‘project’ and would be a panic appointment.

Yeah he’s better than Ten Hag but still would be a poor appointment and would be no stability for them.

Tick tock, tick tock for ETH. The papers etc are full of who will replace him . I suspect he'll be gone by Monday.

I know his star has fallen dramatically, but I think Graham Potter (along with a serious clear out backed by senior management) would be good for them. Establish an identity, bring in a good working culture and away from this "Shit Galacticos" thing they've had going for the last 10 years or so.

Not saying he'd be the answer long term, but to get them back into some sort of stable place - much like Eddie Howe has done at Newcastle. Doubt the board or the celebrity fans have the patience for that, so we will just continue going round and round in circles.

It'll be Southgate when it happens. I personally think Ratcliffe will put it off as long as he can. They may well win another trophy come the end of the season, and that's good enough for him.

No chance they go for Tuchel, he’s far too vocal and spikey compared to a corporate yes-man like Southgate.

Plus if they get TT the media will churn out endless stories over how he convinced Kane to sign for him @ Bayern and how he will do the same at Utd. Not sure I could bare the tedium.

I also don't think that Man Utd will want the tabloid stories from Tuchel's personal life either, that's what did him at Chelsea in the end.

Trouble for them is that whoever comes in is going to look at that squad and shit a brick.

There's maybe 6 or 7 players in their squad that are up to being part of a top 4 team, there's maybe 2-3 that could be part of a title winning team.

That's one big rebuild they're going to have to do there.

Just confirming what a twat Ratcliffe is.

Noticeably cosying up to Starmer and Seb Coe (sat next to eachother) in a photo in the video.

^ Aside from the subject matter, I quite like the lad who does these... he did a cracking one on Scunny a few seasons ago.

Edit: brilliant evisceration btw.

The Sporting Lisbon manager would be the one, hope they dont get him
It makes a lot of sense.

They supposedly want to go down a route of bringing through potential.

They are a former powerhouse who can't get their act together..

Amorim has performed a miracle to get S9porting, a team who hadn't won a title or close to winning a title for over 20 years, back on top of Portuguese football and break up the Porto/Benfica monopoly.

That's a terrible take. It's like he's trying to be sacked now, I bet if he goes he gets a big pay off.

I remember the news that when Levy interviewed him he wasn't happy with his communication skills, if that's true Levy was spot on here. I'd find it hard to be motivated by this manager.

No charisma whatsoever.

He's a dreadful communicator.

He could have said "It was hard to bounce back with 10 men but I believe we could have" and that cpukd have been a fair thing to say as you never know.

But to say he 'ignores the game' will only get fans against him as he's communicating that when you go down to 10 men it should be forgotten and not exist.
