Neville has vented himself up so much that he's deluding himself.
Actually my brother is a united fan and he's doing the same.
They have this belief that you can't keep hiring and firing coaches ans whilst I think it's quite admirable, I also think it's naive.
You don't keep a coach on in the hope he'll suddenly get better when all around you shows he's just not cutting it.
They continue to spend yet continue to get worse and I couldn't tell you anything about Ten Hags strategy other than it's messy.
He's been backed. That cannot be disputed. Yet their fans say he hasn't??
I think in football today, you waste time by sticking with the same dud coach and you need to move on quickly to speed up the process of finding the right one.
Liverpool took years to land on someone to win them a title again or have a sustained period of success. They fired coaches who had some moments but realised that they were going nowhere with them and hoping for change wasn't the answer.
The exceptions to this are probably Pep and Arteta and that's only because they've both had heaven and earth moved for them at their respective clubs which is never happening at United and probably shouldn't be for a coach like Ten Hag as he lacks charisma and a lot else.
I don't think they'll sack him though until the season gets away from them.
