The ONE dampener on today's result - it may well spark a panic reaction from the United leadership to actually pull their finger out and sign someone this summer. They could have had Sancho if they'd bid the right money at the start of the window - Dortmund probably won't budget now without time to get a replacement.
Honestly, let them have Sancho, he's a very good player but only marginally better than the massive amount of talent they have there already. If man utd suddenly realised what they actually need is a physical defensive midfielder, a centre back and a left back, then I'd be worried. I know they are getting a left back, but. Man Utd is such a top heavy team right now.

I hope Ole at least gets them a few results to keep him in a job, at least til the end of the season. Then another transitional season for them.

If they sack him early on, that might give the next manager some time to maybe sort the mess out, ready for the next season.

Hopefully it’s a prolonged and drawn out affair.

Their form after lockdown has papered over some huge cracks.

Why spend all summer flirting with a winger when your problems are in other parts of the pitch?? And then go for a 6'3" centre forward as an alternative?!
Why sign Van de Beek when you have 2 offensive-minded centre mids.

They were shocking yesterday. Maguire was woeful, how many mistakes did he make just in the build up to Tanguy's goal - what were those headers all about?
Pogba really can't be bothered can he. A midfield 2 of Matic and Pogba against our aggression, quick passing and clever movement was embarrassing. And that's with 2 attacking full backs - Ole's at the wheel but it's not a tactics truck he's driving.

Hilarious. But they're a mess.

Probably will, Utd are reluctant to sack managers especially a club legend like OGS.

The best thing about us beating Utd 6-1 (other than the obvious), is that it brought all the Liverpool fans out crowing and taking the piss...........before they got battered 7-2!
As someone that has had to abide a 58 year old Liverpool supporting brother :cautious: that has never been further north than Sheerness :shifty:.........it was the most glorious of days! :D During the 30 minutes before their game he was actually making a point about how Utd fans are so self entitled and arrogant that they take the piss before a ball is even kicked as they're so sure they'll win - BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I was getting texts from my Liverpool supporting brother during our game saying “we want 7!”......
I may have forwarded them back to him later

I know! He is the epitome of a glory hunter fan. Has no affiliation with Liverpool or the north what so ever, yet refers to himself as "scouse" and how they are better than other fans!:cautious::shifty:

I keep telling him if he was born 10 years later he'd have been United! :D

Solskjaer defence of Harry Maguire

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer launched a passionate defence of Harry Maguire during his news conference this morning.

"When Harry beats the number-one ranked team in the world in Belgium it's a normal day. Then you get the headlines when you get a sending off, that's football. You have to deal with it.

"Harry has got great resilience. He knows he will bounce back. He wants to play and work his way out of the last couple of games he's been criticised for.

"But he picked up a knock just before he came off the other night so we'll have a look at him today."

Good to see someone's def being for Maguire... got help him if he had to defend himself! :cautious:

Got to laugh at his slight knock though, we back you, but we now seem you injured so we don't pick you :X3:
