As a LFC supporter I think this thread is funny and reflects well on Spurs fans and shows they have good humour and the ability to laugh at themselves which is missing from so many football supporters in todays dog eat dog modern football world. Not sure we'd have the humour to do this.

Its a good laugh and I applaud the balls and humility.

You see that, people? This is actually a positive thread that shows the maturity level we have in here. Calm down some of you.

I honestly cannot believe that one of our own fans has created this ridiculous thread! These are the kind of threads I'm used to seeing on other clubs forums ****ing us off, yet we have our own fans doing it to us with this!
Its one thing to ridicule ourselves but to advertise it in a "lets all laugh at us" thread is pathetic really.
If some of you can't see how embarrassing this is then theres something seriously wrong. Im sure the more mature fans who have been around pre-playstation era will understand? no? Cmon mods do the right thing.

I have been around pre-playstation era. In fact pre-Nintendo era! Pre-donkey kong and the Popeye game-and-watch era!

And I totally understand and accept the existence of this thread because it shows the maturity level to be able to laugh at yourselves in a light-hearted way. Bravo OP

Come on, now, fair play...when even Spammers, not only being Spammers but having Hippo Head in charge and facing a relegation fight, can ridicule us, I think it is safe to say we are due a bit of a piss-take and should just bite the bullet and join in :)

That's not true. Liverpool fans are very good at laughing at themselves - just look at that fella, what's was his name, oh, yeah, Harry Anfield. Him and his brothas uploaded all of them vids, onto YouTube, of them dressed in shell-suits with big mad hair pretending to fight one another. Now that was damned funny ;-/

When things are bad i always think about how I would feel if I supported west ham. No lie.

Nah, I'm afraid that just wouldn't work.
Most Spammers are twats, but they don't have the self-awareness to feel like twats. In trying to replicate Spammer-ness, you would be aware that you should feel like a twat, therefore nullifying the effort of imagining yourself into their shoes.

I've had an idea for a new reality TV show which will change the transfer market and the world as we know it. If anyone has the money to produce it then send me a PM and we'll thrash out a deal. Here's my pitch...

The idea came from last summers tranfer dealings with our 7 new signings and also the demand from our fans for AVB to be sacked. The show will be called 'Tottenham Idol' and will aim to:

  • Raise money for the transfer kitty through advertising and sponsorship
  • Raise the profile of the club at home and abroad
  • Quench Spurs fans ongoing thirst for blood in a constructive manner
The show will start on the final day of the Premier league season when a group of 7 or more signings will be revealed and shown around the training complex. The film crew will follow them around and watch as they get used to living in a new country, learn a new language and compete with their team mates for a starting spot in the Premier League.

Over the course of the season as the fans become angry and bitter, they will vote the players out of the club by text or premium phone call untill at the end there's only one remaining. Harry Redknapp is already onboard for a midseason special where one player will be picked at random and sent to Queens Park Rangers on loan for the rest of the year.

The 'Tottenham Idol' format can also be sold to other clubs, I have interest from a fan group up North to start work on 'Hull Idol' from the 2016/17 season onwards.

Stealing my idea for the phone in

Arsenal/Liverpool/West Ham fans will vote off our best player every week.

The people moaning about this thread conjure an image of a 10 year old who likes to make fun of his friends but as soon as they make fun of him he sits in a corner with his arms folded and a frown on his face.

Just found this on Urban dictionary. Think they nailed it. Do like number 2.

2. Tottenham Hotspur
A specialty sex act performed between a transvestite and her (his?) male counterpart. It usually involves an extra hot pizza pocket or pizza pop, and one or both parties is burned with the hot cheese & tomato sauce mixture.
This particular act originated in the tranny district of Montreal, located near Rue Ontario.
"I picked up a tranny last night and asked her for a Tottenham Hotspur, but she wanted way to much money so I had to settle for an old fashioned".

Who started the original thread on Liverpool? 5 European cups, just to start off with? I never saw the joke though I was at the lane Sunday night and saw some comedians masquerading as football players!
