I don't know what's happened to talksport. I used to enjoy it but since Colin Murray left it has slowly descended into tedious drivvel it is today. The new additions to the presenter and pundit lineup are full of mumblers, morons and the sporting equivalent of luvvies. All of whom offer all the dynamism and insight of a potato

There's two who start off their show great but by the end of the first hour they've become quite monotone, and it doesn't help that they only seem to have the same dozen or so guests (not the co-presenters like the Mills' Brothers, Bob & Danny) that they just cycle through each month, so the opinions don't change much.

Holloway is always entertaining, he's got something for everyone - comedy, cringe, madness, it's just a rollercoaster with him on the show.

For old time's sake... Words?

Bob Mills Goes Postal was one of the best features on any radio station ever.

edit: aaaahhahaa, just played the video, my office now want to know why I suddenly started chanting "EASY! EASY! EASY!" :D

Since Talksport was taken over by the company who run the Sun,their journalists have slowly taken over some of these shows. Their offices are now where the Sun and Times work from.
They have re hashed the programmes. Seems Natalie Sawyer is still the token woman but she really isn’t very good. Her guests often take over the show. They have Stuck her with patronising Jim every morning.
Laura Woods who often covers for Brazil is far superior.
Sounds like Danny Kelly will not be on as often. Still on a Monday but has lost Friday. May be cutting down as now lives in Ireland.
Parry has been consigned to the bin.Not before time.
Kelly is easily the best presenter. Hawksbee is also very good. Both Spurs of course.
Never miss H and J.

As I was working yesterday I had the misfortune to have to listen to Talksports commentary.
It was absolutely fkin awful. That senial old bastard John Motson just waffles on utter drivel instead of actually commentating on the match!
This isnt tv John. We rely on you to tell us whats happening!!!
I dont give a fuck about there being no VAR during the week, how big stadiums are good for the community, where they are/where located, what happens in the table (5 games in ffs) or any other shit that pops into your head.
Can you just do the job you're being paid to do and actually commentate on the match please?
Listened to Norwich, City match later and whoever did that was 100 times better. They actually told you what was going on.
Frustrating as fuck lol.
Waffle waffle waffle... ooh fk that was just over the bar. Aaahhhhhh.
Someone should take him out the back and put him out of his misery, and mine.

Had a similar experience when trying to listen to 5 Live's cricket coverage at time during the summer. I was listening to a World Cup game at the gym and they must have gone a full 45 minutes without mentioning the run-total or loss of wickets. That would be annoying enough if I were listening to a test match where you can probably get away with that as both are moving along pretty slowly, but in a limited overs match it was brutal. Did they expect listeners to have our pen and paper to hand to keep up?!

Motty and Sam Matterface are polar opposites on Talksport - the latter is very good for radio but doesn't translate well to TV because he's so used to needing to fill every second of air time, whereas Motty comes across like a confused scenile uncle who is getting lost in his own thoughts.

Without Max Rushden this station would be down the tubes by now, he's the only real non-cucumber flavoured host they've got left. Him and Barry Glendenning are fun, Sports Bar used to be but now it's Cundy acting like a ten year old and Goldstein sounding like he doesn't really give much of a crap anymore.

On that note, what ever happened to the two Mikes? I don't miss them, used to have to stomach them when I worked nights, have they been relegated back to the graveyard shift or just quietly moved into retirement homes to shout at the wallpaper?

Pretty sure they’ve moved over to talk radio now, which makes sense as neither really had a clue about spirt.
