What will be interesting is to see how teams that got relegated from 08/09 when they got taken over react, it’s not just the top end clubs that have been affected by their cheating.
Seventeen of them in total: Wigan, Stoke, Bolton, pompey, Blackburn, Sunderland, hull, boro, wba, Swansea, Norwich, Watford, Luton, qpr, Huddersfield, Cardiff and sheff u will all be watching very closely I’m sure.
You could also throw in any lower league teams who got knocked out of any domestic cups as well.

Yeah it’s a huge fan of worms. I guess the only thing that will stop some other clubs suing them is the legal cost.

Four of Manchester City’s main rivals have lodged legal notices reserving the right to seek compensation if the club are found guilty of serious charges among the 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have taken the step of formally registering possible compensation claims via arbitration before a potential statute of limitations deadline last week, sources have told The Times. The clubs involved all declined to comment.

The charges against City are still being heard by an independent regulatory commission, with the outcome not expected until the new year. The commission can make an order for compensation to be paid but it is understood that, because of laws around time limits to register such claims, there was (thats all you get for free i guess)
I imagine that they'll all be wishing us well on bluemoon.

As I understood it the PL went back to the arbitration panel to consult on what was and not legal for the APT rules, seems City still disagree on the new proposed amendments.

PS According to The Telegraph the panel are still to give clarification of the ruling..

God I hope they get thrown out of the league for good.

A coincidence I’m sure

As an aside I absolutely fucking hate Aston Villa’s new owners. Coming in and flashing the cash on par with all the other dodgy clubs then complaining to no end about the financial rules as if they wouldn’t pull the ladder up behind them.

I hope they’ve hedged their whole future on champions league revenue and a season out of it sends them back to the dark ages like Leeds.

For people wanting us to get some sugar daddy like City have, Villa is the more likely outcome for us than City’s success.

Maybe they won't be punished then, or a clause built in for early release if they are...

Eorher way a nice boost for them as they prepare for their next game FFS

Saw something the other day saying there is no ‘relegation clause’.

Premier League has won the APT vote. It's a strange one though as the tribunal will tell the league by February whether their changes are actually legal so not entirely clear why PL is in such a rush but hey any blow to city is a good thing

16-4 vote in favour so pretty well supported, what will City do now and who joined them and Villa voting against ?

Clubs voted 16 in favour and four against. Those voting against included Manchester City and Aston Villa, who had both written to clubs before the meeting seeking support.

Forest and Newcastle apparently.

Forest and Newcastle apparently.

Don't really get Forest's stance on this unless they're after a few deals and loans from City. Newcastle, predictably, just want to be allowed to buy the League and every other competition. Sad times.

Forest probably know that the only chance they have of getting a permanent spot in the league; and then becoming more competitive would be by owner funding through APT’s. (They are under a multi club ownership and growing)

They don’t have the revenues or commercial draw to be able to achieve that organically.
