I despise the entitled, verbally incomprehensible, deluded, just plain weird, media eulogised fucking fuck faces.

Just gotta hope the lack of signings does for them.

To think WE were cheering Chelsea on last night. Unbelievable.

I certainly wasn’t cheering on Chelsea last night or Liverpool for that matter. Didn’t really cared who won.

Find all the Liverpool celebrations last night abit cringe worthy. To me the European super cup is just a glorified community shield which most of the time no one really cares about pays too much attention too. It only got more coverage over here as it had two English teams in it.

I'd expect us to celebrate the same way if we won it and I wouldn't mind either.

Yeah I must admit that I cannot imagine any situation where I would cheer on Chelsea even if I find the punditry a bit partisan towards Liverpool at times.

If we'd won it we'd be celebrating. Lets not kid ourselves.

The Irish commentator stated that Liverpool started the season going after 7 pieces of silverware..

The Charity Shield, (lost) The UEFA Super Cup, The World Club Championship, The Champions League, The Premier League and the League/Carabao.. Interesting he forgot to put in the FA Cup in his excitement.

Anyone cheering on Chelsea last night should be banned from this forum. Possibly put in prison depending on the extent of their cheering.

I thought it was a good game and Chelsea not being Liverpool and also being the underdogs I wanted them to win!

The sports reporter on BBC Breakfast accepted that most people had never heard of it, but claimed that this was because British teams had rarely been involved. "Most years it had been fought out between 2 Spanish teams."

I'm from Northallerton. Wensleydale is in my heart... Quite literally I expect, considering how much Black Sheep Bitter I must have consumed.
Someone else from my neck of the woods, wasn’t expecting that haha ?

To keep things on the track of the thread, don’t know about anyone else, but several of the Liverpool players are looking like they’re starting to pick up the niggling little injuries we had a lot of last season, and that happening this early in the season surely can’t be a good thing for them.

I find this so strange but I appreciate you’re not alone. Out of interest, baring in mind the racism, the constant hissing and “Hitler he’s coming for you” shit and games like battle of the bridge where literally even the players revel in destroying any success we’re trying to achieve, what is it about Liverpool you hate so much more than Chelsea?

I was thinking that VVD hasn't been looking as good as last season based on what I have seen of him so far.
He looks a bit agitated with what's going on around him with his team mates.

The issue Liverpool have is that last season they were just on another level and have some very average players who were made to look better than they were thanks to the likes of VVD/Salah/Firmino. They haven't added to the squad in the summer and could be losing 2 players who have been in and around the squad for the past few seasons (Mingolet and Lovren) who apparently were good characters in the dressing room. Sometimes you need that, they might not be doing anything on the pitch but off it they were obviously good for the dressing room.

They are still probably going to blitz most teams in the league but I think they will struggle more against the top 6 this season and I would not be surprised if they went out the CL early on.

I cant wait until we play them in October, injuries aside. Hopefully two fully fit teams, no issues, and lets see how we they fair.
I think belief and fear play a lot when you play a side and the media has built them up to be some juggernaut, which they aren't.
They only have impressed me once, when we played them and that was last August and we know too well the reasons for that.

I got the impression it was more important to Chelsea than Liverpool, like they really wanted it more, much good it did them.
