Apparently they are struggling to find anybody to play a friendly against before the final. Does anyone know if Spurs are playing any pre-final matches?

This. To be fair despite the Liverpool fans' deluded arrogance (admitedly helped by the usual media wankfest over them - see Matthew Syed's article in the times) I'm yet to talk to a single person about the final who hasn't told me they really hope Spurs win it.

Yes they are streets ahead of us in almost every aspect... But whilst they are trophy less, they are there to be shot at. If they were to win, all you'll be hearing is 'Champions of Europe, we know what we are" for a whole season and 'Champions of Europe, we know what we were' until the end of time..

I really, really, really want to be able to sing that. And "champions of Europe, you'll neeeever sing that!". Ok I'm getting too ahead of myself!

I agree with the Scousers on that one. Playing another English team in Europe is shit. We see them often enough as it is.

It's also a term used almost exclusively by Americans, who, despite their burgeoning enthusiasm for the beautiful game, are still pretty annoying.

We use the term soccer quite commonly in Ireland to differentiate it from Gaelic Football. Have to admit it really annoys my none 'Gaelic' friends which is probably why I use it!
