They can afford to rest basicslly all their key first choice players tomorrow night they've got a game Sunday before ours. Meanwhile we've got a whole first choice team out injured.

Next week should be fun.

I don't remember McManaman or Owen getting this kind of grief. Owen wasn't a bosman I guess but he ran down his contract to the final year and they sold him at a cut price. Maybe the era before social media.

Obviously the money helps but it's not like he's joining a PL rival, he's won everything there is to win at Liverpool and wants a new challenge in a new league. Still only 26 so could easily do a couple of years there and come back in the future with more experience. Why so vitriolic?

Social media and the obsessive need for "likes" innit? The twitter examples above are all just trying to be more and more controversial

Their fans are taking the news about Alexander-Arnold more or less signing for Madrid well.

That is so unlike them, no death threats? That is their usual M.O isnt it?

If VVD and Salah leave is that a worse window than our 2018 one? I mean, how are they going to replace those three?

If Real Madrid want him and he wants them why hasn’t a contract t already been signed ? His contract with Liverpool finishes this summer and as RM are not a PL club has been able to agree a deal and sign a contract since 1/1/25

Maybe his preference is stay at Liverpool but they won't offer what he thinks he/his agent is worth?

He's going to go there. The problem is that they want him before his contract ends at Liverpool to play in that club world cup thing. Suspect that is being negotiated.

Because Madrid will need to plead poverty to the Spanish Government between now and the Summer for some known reason ... regular as clockwork
