Honesly I'm surprised they let him back on the coach after the Brighton game, I was sure he'd be a goner as soon as the curtain came down on the season.

When purchased, Liverpool paid world record fees for Van Dyke and Allison...who were absolutely pivotal to getting Liverpool to actually win things. He makes it sound like he did it all on a shoestring. Prick.
Unfortunately thats what it takes to win things in this country. There's no shame in it, and its part of why we will always fall short, its that final (financial) push that makes the difference.

I don’t think it’s inaccurate to say that City have spent more than Liverpool over the duration of Klopp’s tenure. As others have pointed out the headline figure for Haaland is nothing compared to the wages and agent fees. £100 million on Grealish, £80 million on Gvardiol. It’s also worth pointing out that Alisson and VVD were both largely paid for by selling Coutinho for nigh on £150 million. Nunez has been an expensive flop, that’s a fair assessment. But they’ve definitely been blown out of the water financially by City, Chelsea, and probably Arsenal too in more recent years.
