I know the officials were the ones at fault and to a certain extent, the video did show they acknowledge their mistake in situ.

But spare a moment to consider the human side of it all. I wonder how they are privately coping with it all, especially the Var ref Darren England. How are their families reacting to their loved ones getting viciously talked about in the press and social media etc.

Imagine you commiting a mistake at work and it's getting viralled and magnified for almost a week. Doesn't help your mental health much, does it.

End of the day, it's just a sport. A sport that admittedly stirs the emotions, but it's also a sport that sometimes forget the emotions of the ones directly involved in it all.
I think you should sign up on Kumb and put this to them.

Judging by how many Liverpool fans are trying to claim a big distinction between asking for a replay and Klopp saying he thinks a replay is the right outcome, I’d say some of their own fans are becoming a little bit tired of/embarrassed by the reaction to all this and yesterday’s mocking from almost everyone has touched a nerve.

Which is good.

Could we have a match day thread for tonights game vs USG?

I have really enjoyed visiting this thread the last few days, what the opponents are saying about us thread and also the Spurs v Victims FC thread from the weekend. I could do with another place to visit and have a good laugh. There can never be a shortage of threads to laugh at these lot.

I would expect any Liverpool comments tonight will be either in the Lets Laugh at. Liverpool or the Europa League/European Conferencr League thread

Still don’t see the need to name the VAR. There is no relevance.

And rightly so, since what he is asked to do is literally impossible. Unless you can look at two different things at once criticising someone for being a few inches out really isn’t called for
