Hence my “taking the piss”. I think it’s quite disrespectful of Chelsea to treat a player in that way.

Nah. When Spurs did the Vini debut it wasnt taking the piss out of Kane.

Im sure Kepa had some great saves and highlights the true test is when people start targeting Mendy and trying to get in his head, if he manages to stand up then brilliant

Chelsea with 5 straight clean sheets...looking more balanced now with Mendy and Thiago Silva settling in pretty quickly.

clean sheet streak ended today and they have been looking better but don't be fooled by the easy schedule. Chelsea have played Sevilla who were happy to sit back and take a point, then Man United in a game that neither side looked like scoring then played two Champions league games against nobodies with Burnley mixed in the middle. I have no doubt once Chelsea play a team that shows attacking ambition (probably not until they play us on Nov 29) the defense will look dreadful again.

Lampard does not know how to setup a defense.

I’ve been banging the ziyech drum for years. No surprise he’s started so well for them. Gutting.

I'm absolutely not justifying Alfie's tackle, but wtf is Drinkwater thinking? He's (supposedly) a seasoned professional!
I said this in the youth thread, it was a bad tackle by Devine but he's 16 and playing for the U23's.
Drinkwater is supposedly a seasoned pro and should be mature enough not to react and start a 15 man scuffle.
Embarrassing to get sent off for behaving like that in a youth game, especially when you're a 30 year old pro.

I'm ok with Drinkwater's reaction. No one should do what Devine did and think there are no retributions. Could have ended his career.

On a serious note though, I think to get up and have a go at him would have been fine, maybe even a little push but to kick him back was bad form.
