Sky Sports reporting that deal has been agreed in principle for Werner

Balls. I wish we would have news of mega signings coming out the blue mid-season like this. Rather than negotiations that drag on till deadline day without guarantees of success.
They’ve been much better at player trading than we have. Still got £50m coming for Morata even though he was flop.

They've got Ziyech joining next season as well. They're building a very good team if they get Werner.

Top 4 getting even harder, I doubt we’ll do any business either so we got to pray we don’t get any injuries next season ...

The implication of everyone moaning about Chelsea signing Werner is that we should have signed him. Don't be ridiculous. We have two world-class strikers already. Why on earth would Werner join a club that already has Son and Kane on its books?

Just engage your brains before your knee starts to jerk, OK?

Not seen any of that today. It's that a world class striker is coming to the EPL for a close rival in need of one that happens to be ahead of us by a considerable gap in the table why fans might be a little worried

It’s not really about us signing him as such, it’s more that Chelsea have signed absolute top quality in him and Ziyech. If they get a real reliable keeper to replace Kepa they will be much stronger than us next season. So that’s Liverpool, City, and Chelsea way out of sight already.

Werner was very keen to join Liverpool, with their excelling trio Mane, Firmino and Salah. So there's no way the challenge of competing with Kane and Salah would have fazed him. Hypothetical situation so doesn't matter anyway.

Well, he was questioned on the speculation of the Liverpool links and said how flattered he was, how liverpool are the best team in the world etc. Seemed keen to me!

wow, Werner, Ziyech, Pulisic behind Abraham. that’s decent.

looks like next season will be even tougher for us to get back in the top 4. hopefully our budget can stretch to Llalana and Fraser on freebies! ?

No one's saying we should have signed him. That's a ridiculous conclusion to draw. He's a very good player. I'd have preferred him to join a non-English club than a premier league club.

True and I'd rather have Kane or Son over Werner - though he is good.
