There’s every possibility Sarri just lucky with a group of players at Napoli. He’s been managing 30 years. What success did he have in the previous 27 not very much. Surely if he was some super talented tactician he’d have made an impact before just hitting 60. Even I have a few good games on FIFA ?

That's not really accurate, he worked pretty well with Empoli before joining Napoli, he's not been managing at the top level for 30 years. I actually have a reasonable amount of admiration for his career to date, but that somewhat diminished when he took on the Chelsea role, you know what you are getting into as soon as you sign.

After doing well Empoli and Napoli, maybe he should stick to Monopoli.

Sounds like another Juande Ramos.

They'll almost certainly get this removed on appeal, they always do seem to go get away with it, but if it actually happend would be hilarious as their squad badly needs an overhaul. It would also mean they'd be stuck with Sarri as surely any new manager that comes in would want to bring in their own players.

On the flipside, I'd guess that would end any chance of selling Hazard to Real Madrid, and we always shit ourselves whenever Real decide they need a marquee signing...

Well, if there's an exodus of players in the next window then at least Chelsea can recall a couple of dozen loanee's to make up the numbers.

Pointless exercise

They'll appeal, get it postponed and then either get a January window ban or suspended ban. Makes no difference

Yup no way they’ll let Hazard leave for Madrid now, surely this will expedite Madrid’s interest in our Christian?

Chelsea have been banned from registering new players for the next two transfer windows after breaching rules regarding the signing of minors.
A FIFA statement read: “The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the English club Chelsea FC and The Football Association for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.
“Chelsea was found to have breached art. 19 of the Regulations in the case of twenty-nine (29) minor players and to have committed several other infringements relating to registration requirements for players.
“The club also breached art. 18bis of the Regulations in connection with two agreements it concluded concerning minors and which allowed it to influence other clubs in transfer-related matters.
“The Disciplinary Committee sanctioned Chelsea with a ban on registering new players at both national and international level for the next two (2) complete and consecutive registration periods.
“This ban applies to the club as a whole - with the exception of the women’s and futsal teams - and does not prevent the release of players.
“Additionally, the club was fined CHF 600,000 and given a period of 90 days to regularise the situation of the minor players concerned.
“The Football Association was also found to have breached the rules in connection with minors. It was fined CHF 510,000 and given a period of six months to address the situation concerning the international transfer and first registration of minors in football.
“The protection of minors is a key element in FIFA’s overall regulatory framework relating to the transfer of players and effective enforcement of these rules is paramount, as also confirmed on various occasions by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
“The decisions issued by the Disciplinary Committee were notified today and can be contested before the FIFA Appeal Committee.”

The fact it is 29 players, rather than 2 or 3, hopefully means an appeal will be rejected. If they can get it delayed, then they will obviously spend big in the summer.

I doubt it changes anything in regards to Hazard going to Madrid, if they want their man they'll get him, you could even argue it will make him want to leave even more.

Yes it means Chelsea will play hard ball in accepting a bid but this ban (if upheld) means they're probably not getting better next season. Is Hazard going to want to stay in a declining squad for another season and play in the Europa League?

I would imagine the Pulisic deal is fine because the deal was confirmed prior to the ban. I'm sure they would've checked this before confirming the deal knowing this was hanging over them.

Be hilarious if not though, guess they would just loan him to Dortmund? They like loans.

The cynic in my says they'll appeal this and either get it overturned or reduced after they throw a few envelopes FIFAs way.
