Someone needs to tell him that you can improve a player's performance through coaching them; you don't have to buy a 'finished product'.

Hes probably so used to buying everything he wants. The premier league is now to expensive. Even for him.

Be interesting to see how the continuing deterioration of diplomatic relations between the UK and Russia will effect Abramovich and as an extension, Chelsea

I think the days of Chelsea buyi g titles is all but over, they look to be tightening belts. They seem to be running more as a business now and have a stadium to oay for.

Watch them slide over the next few years.

You know this will end up with them beating us in the FA Cup final don’t you?

Isn't Conte's issue that he does not have enough say on the incomings?

I agree the board backed him by selling Costa - but they were beaten to Lukaku, and settled for Morata. Not sure Lukaku makes the difference here.

It's the same rumors that occurred when he was manager for Juventus. Too little involved in the signings and didn't get the players he wanted. Off the next season

I read yesterday that over the past 10 premier league games, Chelsea sit 15th in the form table.

Played...10
Won.......3
Drawn....2
Lost.......5

Yep, they've amassed a whopping 11 points in 10 games.

Conte doesn't want to be there, a few of the first 11 don't want to be there and the rest of them are unsettled and waiting for the new manager to come in.

Oh...I'm well aware of their apparent troubles. Can't deny that I'm finding it most entertaining. All and sundry at the club pointing fingers at each other...hilarious. All topped off with the memory of little Dennis Wise's proclamation that Chelsea should be ahead of Spurs and are better.

Always brings a smirk to my face that one. So cheers for that Wisey.

Let’s hope they scrape through to the FA Cup final (or not) but beating United is going to be the bigger challenge I feel. Actually dreading the semi.

And don't forget all the money Abramovic has pumped into them over the years is technically a loan. When he's decided he's had enough, or if something were to happen that meant he needed the money, he can presumably "pay himself back" whenever he wants.

Why you dreading it with our fabulous recent record in FA Cup Semi-Finals?

If Conte does go within the week it will confirm that Chelsea have given up on the league and have prioritized the cup. I defense of Conte, people are right when they say good coaching helps players get better but does anyone believe at his appointment he was told he would have to do that, personally I reckon he was told they would get him the players he needed and I doubt Drinkwater Barkley and giroud were on his list.

They usually sack their managers once what they are after has fallen away don't they? So I expect he will go once/if they fail to get top 4.

They'll leave him there until they've got someone in place to take over. At this stage of the season is there any point in a caretaker?

That said, whats Avram Grant up to nowadays?

Winning the cup possibly, if they think they won't with Conte still there.

ohh ho ho ho

All that hilarious banter about Spurs putting the pressure on when Chelsea won the league, and now they've got a player coming out with this when they are in 5th.
