Palmer is inked on an insanely long contract right? probably getting paid like 250k pw as well, he isn't going anywhere for now unless madrid or barca comes a calling but he would get destroyed by the media there.

In terms of signing a striker they signed jackson a crazy extension literally this offseason right? also they tried to get that dude from athletico madrid that ended up going somewhere else in spain and is kinda a beast right?

He's a good player but it was never the right move for him. If he did turn us down to go there then he reaps what he sows. Even though he's probably being paid more than enough to make up for it.
He is getting bonkers money for years and years so he won't be too upset.

Madueke confirmed out until April with a hamstring injury.

They currently have 6 players with hammy problems.

Impossible! All hammy injuries are caused by Ange's training regime and playing style.
Of course they aren't and I haven't seen anyone suggest they are. The issue comes when we add to the general wear and tear injuries that squads are built to contend with.

The volume of games is unsustainable. A player at a top club could play only 2/3 of his maximum possible games for club and country and still play nearly 50 a season.

I hate to think what some, perhaps many, of these players are going to be like when they get into their 60s and 70s. Crippled with old injury problems, arthritic, and riddled with rheumatism. Their bank accounts may be full to overflowing but what about their health ?

Probably still in a lot better state than your average Joe who works his / her whole life on a building site, railways, Oil Rigs, truckers etc with a bank account a lot healthier to go with it.

I'm sure their wealth will help them alleviate most medical issues somewhat but clubs might finally start complaining as the injuries keep mounting. It's no longer the 1970s in any way, especially the money involved and way the game is played.

Cheslea are in the same postion they finished last season. They have the same PPG of 1.65. I bet they spent a fortune firing Poch and hiring Maresca.
